Ramos doing a lot of hyper flurrying on the back foot or leaning in against Esquivas, then taking breaks. All Esquivas wants to do is shred his body.

 

Round 7

Another pause to fix glove. Esquivas is coming forward, throwing hard body shots as usual. Ramos is starting to wilt!! Drifting back into the corner!! Esquivas is grinding into him, shoulder to chest. Body shots by Esquivas! Arm punches by Ramos, just slaps, almost open-handed! Very loose offense by Ramos! Trying to hold as Esquivas comes in digging hard to the body! Ramos flurries quickly but softly down low. Esquivas lets himself get grabbed around the waist and taps Ramos on the backside. Ramos gets Esquivas in a headlock. Esquivas fights his way out with a BIG FLURRY to the body. Ramos flashes his hands back at him!!

The crowd is on its feet shrieking already, before the ring announcer gets on loudspeaker and announces they should make some noise for the eighth and final round.

Round 8

Ramos steps in, jabs, quick uppercut to the body, trying to hold Esquivas back. Esquivas waits his turn, then rips away with left hooks and uppercuts to the body and now it's Ramos sliding involuntarily back across the ring. Esquivas pushes in and blocks a Ramos jab, then chops down at his head as Ramos ducks low. Lots of grabbing and tangling on the inside. Ugly. Right hand by Esquivas misses, as does a quick Ramos combo before tying up again. Cantu forces a break. Ramos flurries into the guard. Esquivas pushes forward ineffectively, just hauling against Ramos with both arms. Finally Esquivas remembers to go to the body, a few hard lefts and rights. Ramos backs up and Esquivas bounds after him, throwing hard shots to body and head!! Ramos tucks his chin and goes for broke in the final ten seconds, HARD uppercuts and alternating flurries! Big exchange at the bell!!
