    Round 3

Orozco is thrashing his way forward through the lazy jabs and uppercuts of Centeno, in some cases brushing or shoving his arms aside to thrust his own past. Orozco is one determined underdog. Hard left hand up top by Orozco. Centeno showboats and shakes his head in a gesture of denial that functionally doubles as a punch-slipping measure while backing up, but he's got a bloodied nose and isn't throwing much back. Orozco keeps the pressure on! High lunging lefts! Right hooks up on his toes! Orozco is bringing the heat!! Centeno backs up, and tries to line up a long uppercut but finds Orozco's arm in the way at the midpoint of one of its hooking swings. Orozco grabs Centeno in a rough headlock when he tries to duck in.

    10-9 Orozco

    29-28 Centeno

    Round 4

Centeno leaves Orozco with a double hook to remember him by and then floats backward on the balls of his feet. Orozco comes forward and pops off high straight flurries, covering up in between to block Centeno's half-assed whips (most of them to the body, and caught on the elbow or delts/triceps). Orozco keeps coming, but eats a few long jabs from outside. Centeno is keeping out of range, but is acting no less stupid with his chin hanging up in the air and his feet just barely carrying him out of the way when Orozco lunges up with left hands. Too many close calls there. Centeno's corner needs to rip into him.

    10-9 Centeno

    39-37 Centeno

Centeno's corner is in a fevered state, but they seem to be more upset about the lack of serious body shots than anything.

    Round 5

Orozco hammers through with his hard high left hand lead. Short taps to the hip with his right as Orozco leans in. Centeno backs up and speed-bags on Orozco's face for a moment until the gloves come up, and then on them. Orozco comes forward lunging with a left hand and a big right hook, spinning himself around as he misses both but always taking bigger and bigger steps toward Centeno. Lead rights from outside by Centeno, one at a time and not much snap on them. He stands there grinning and laughing and resting on his laurels while his corner screams "KEEP GOING!". Orozco meanwhile charges in with left hands, misses Centeno's chin narrowly (or just clips it) and then slinks back outside to reload and start over. Orozco chases with a few backhand rights. 1-2 by Orozco. Single right hand lead by Centeno. Flurry by Orozco.

    48-47 Centeno

    Round 6

Instant action! Telefutura can't cut back from commercial quickly enough! The round clock shows only three or four seconds shaved off but the two men are clasped together, arms on one side interlocked as Orozco flutters his free hand aggressively at Centeno. Orozco presses in and moves Centeno back to the ropes with some high jabs and lefts but eats a counter uppercut, never stopping. Centeno pushes out a stick jab, and then shoves against Orozco to push him off. Orozco starts to get going with a long combo, dropping his fists down on Centeno's head when the boy ducks...but Centeno rises with a counter uppercut flush under the chin. Orozco rallies again, but misses all his high shots. Centeno shoeshines and backs off. Left hand to the jaw by Orozco. Centeno shoeshines and moves. Another left by Orozco. Centeno ducks and swerves out of the pocket and away from the ropes. Orozco keeps chasing, and swinging, and mostly missing.

:think More to Orozco's record than meets the eye.

Except for one, every opponent he's faced (including tonight) has been an undefeated prospect. All four of his wins - over unbeaten prospects. All but two of his eight losses - to unbeaten prospects...and the ones that weren't were to a 5-1 guy and a 7-7 guy who's really better than his own record.

His opponents' combined record is 59-8-1.

Oh, it's "the Boss"...not "the Bull". I was hearing Martinez wrong.

Neither is really appropriate for Centeno's style and disposition. :yep

    Round 1

Chinchilla is a rat-tailed powerhouse, just bruising away with hard looping rights and left hooks as he comes forward and wraps his arms around his head between punches with his chin tucked to his chest. Vargas is almost a mirror image, a little less corded with muscle and a little less busy but throwing the same type of heavy shots and trying to defend on the inside with his arms laying flat against his face whenever he isn't actively throwing. They lean together, gloves pressed against each other as they take turns throwing bombs. Vargas has already had a big cut opened up on his right eyebrow - from punches, they haven't been close enough to butt. (but at the same time haven't ever been very far away from each other).

    10-9 Chinchilla

99% of the time it's the more famous boxer that wins those polls, just because they're more famous. This is one of the few times there's been that much of a gap in name recognition between the two where the obscure/unknown guy wins.

    Round 2

Vargas throws a hard pair while Chinchilla is shelled up, and then covers himself as Chinchilla responds with a hard pair. Bombs fly out both ways, and Vargas tries to distinguish himself with some wide left and right hooks to the body. Vargas starts to line up a peach of a right hand and just blasts away with it over and over until Chinchilla falls to the seat of his pants. HARD left hook by Chinchilla as soon as he gets up. Vargas trades with him and gets tossed into a corner, but quickly spins Chinchilla into it. Hard shots landed to the face and body by both! Vargas' right eye is horribly swollen and can't possibly make it another four rounds at this rate. Body shots by Vargas. Chinchilla bends forward with his head level with his waist and weaves a bit under Vargas' shots. Chinchilla throws some high shots out of a southpaw stance, hammering with his left down on Vargas' exposed back as Vargas himself ducks forward.

    10-8 Vargas

    19-18 Vargas
