    Round 2

Now it is Caballero backing up as Ramos comes forward swinging hard and wild. Ramos settles down and starts unreeling his jab, keeping it fairly straight and accurate with a recoil/start point just under his chin by his right glove. Caballero misses a couple of overhand rights as he takes his turn to come forward. Ramos sticks the jab in his face and then flurries with Caballero, landing a solid right on the chin. Caballero throws a wild hook and crashes it into the arms of Ramos, who keeps a tight guard. Ramos is turning away from Caballero's volleys, blocking a lot and making him miss but also nearly exposing his back to him as he spins a bit out of control. Caballero misses some more overhand rights and Ramos greets him wading in with an uppercut.

WOW! The 3-7-2 guy came to fight...and won that round.

    I know!!

We'll see. Maybe if there is an early KO in one of the other fights they'll show it, time allowing.

Only reason I'm tuning in. Wanted to see if he would come into the ring riding a giraffe.

    Round 3

Ramos drops his jab down to the body, staying on the outside behind his high guard. Caballero looks to smash his way inside with overhand rights and hard bent-elbow body shots. Caballero inches forward and Ramos inches backward, both just staring at each other - no punches. A couple of jabs from each now. Caballero gets on top of him and lands a hard uppercut to the chin under/between the gloves, and then a hard hook to the head. Caballero throws a 1-2 to the body after a few clinches. Ramos swings out a high powerflu overhand right and doubles it up after it whiplashes back and then follows up with a hook. Caballero takes back over when Ramos finishes the combination, pushing his man back with forceful jabs and overhand rights. Ramos is trapped against the ropes and Caballero pelts him with both fists, smothering him. Ramos is fought across the ring, keeping up a Clottey guard and trying to flick out an odd pot shot here and there.

    29-28 Cab

Which one is in the red trunks? :huh Ramos, right?

edit: yeah, it says "Hugo" right on his belt line. That's the dude that is supposed to be the "opponent", but isn't laying down. He came on strong in the 2nd, but is running out of rounds already down 2-1 (on my unofficial card :D)

    Round 4

Caballero is landing low/high combos and punctuating a few with uppercuts. He is coming forward only as much as needed to goad the willing Ramos into trading, and then counter punching. It's an odd way to apply pressure, but that is what Caballero is doing - gaining purchase without really pressing forward that much. HARD body shot by Caballero. A few more clubbing overhand rights land as Ramos is held in place by Caballero leaning into him.

    39-37 Caballero

Cab was very aggressive in the last minute and a half of R2 but I didn't credit a lot of his blows with landing and thought Ramos had enough early work in the bank to coast on D.

    Round 5

Caballero is shoulder-leaning into Ramos and launching hard body shots. Ramos is trying to shove him off and make it a headhunting contest again. Caballero tosses his long arms upstairs just enough to get himself inside and then seeks out the body again. Ramos moves outside and plays it safe, cleaving to the ropes. A few long jabs from Ramos get him countered by hard flurries from Caballero.

    49-46 RC

    Ultimo round

Ramos comes out firing! BIG right hands!! Caballero took a monster shot there. Caballero tries to clinch after counters bounce off Ramos' face with no effect. They slug away in a phonebooth. HARD right uppercut to the body by Caballero. Ramos walks into a hard right hand, crunching his nose as he flails with both arms. More whipping body shots by Caballero stepping in. Ramos loads up on a big right hand and holds Caballero in his tracks for a moment. Caballero keeps himself plastered to Ramos and punishes him with body blows. Ramos turtles up against the ropes before squirming free and fleeing to the middle of the ring. Ramos looses a wild right haymaker and misses. Caballero is waiting patiently just out of reach. Caballero takes half-steps in to get Ramos punching and then either shoeshines or times a hard right. Caballero outscoring him by a lot.

    59-55 Randy Caballero
