It sounded like all three cards had 60-54 for Caballero.

    Main event time.

Nothing against Estrada, but hopefully he's taken out quickly so we get to see some Bogie. :happy

(or, if he somehow springs an early upset KO himself...just as well...)

    Round 1

Escobedo gives chase, throwing 1-2s to the body. Estrada is basically just running, pawing with a jab but with Escobedo nowhere near him. Escobedo poses for a while, then leads with a right hand. A grouping of body shots by Escobedo back Estrada up quickly. Estrada appears hurt by a hook to the body and nearly turns fully around to face the turnbuckle before springing out to continue his retreat. Escobedo has a left to the body deflected and then hammers down with a couple of rights.

    Round 2

Escobedo fakes Estrada out with a couple of retracted jabs and then lands a stinging hook to the jaw. Estrada tries to stake his turf with a long jab but it's very slow and badly telegraphed, allowing Escobedo to scout it and duck beneath it to lob body shots. Estrada is just as slow with a left hand. Escobedo barely misses a wild hook from the hip coming forward. Esobedo is taking his time getting inside, even though Estrada's jab is no threat to him. Escobedo throws a lazy hook up high and wide left, and then a hard uppercut to the belly through the middle. Escobedo is dancing on his toes in front of Estrada, being very economical but landing in combination when he does throw. Estrada has nothing, offensively. A few slow jabs and straight lefts. Escobedo is boxing circles around him. Estrada tries pressing forward and jabbing and Escobedo just parries him with ease.

    Round 3

Escobedo is landing everything, including lone overhand rights and sweeping combos down low. Estrada is popping his right jab but not seriously trying to land it. Escobedo lures Estrada to the ropes and then ducks a left hand to skim past him. Escobedo is just doing figure eights around him, totally tripping Estrada up. Escobedo puts up a high guard just a foot or so away from Estrada and catches some jabs in between firing off and landing his own. HARD right hand punctuates a three punch burst by Escobedo and catches Estrada flush.

    30-27 Escobedo

    Round 4

The two jab out of their opposing stances, both tentative and both just pushing air. Escobedo takes a straight left to the face as he's backing up. Estrada thinks he has him hurt and rushes toward him, throwing straight punches but unable to find the slippery Escobedo. Estrada now throws two at a time, 1-2s and right hook/left hand combos. Escobedo backs up to the ropes and plays peekaboo, catching Estrada with a long right hand out of his crouching guard. Another hard right by Escobedo from a few feet away. Estrada has his right jab on autopilot but Escobedo is watching it carefully and working around it. They clinch. Estrada thrusts out his right jab and Escobedo walks chest-first into it, interrupting his rhythm as he starts throwing a combo.

    40-36

A few here and there...but he's giving Estrada a lot of seemingly undue respect.

    Round 5

Escobedo jabs cautiously on the outside, circling in a slow shuffle. Estrada is trying to force him to battle with his jab, turning the right side of his body to him and crabbing toward him behind the southpaw jab. Escobedo is still playing the mouse and really not engaging much, and is getting caught a bit when he gets comfortable and drops his hands on the outside. Right hand by Escobedo. Four punches are flung out at once, drifting toward Estrada very lackadaisically with three missing badly. WTF is Escobedo doing? Estrada throws a left hand that sees his elbow butt up against Escobedo's ribs, and his fist sort of slap against his chest at the bell.
