Middleweight David Lopez looks like he's being groomed as an "opponent" for a GBP fight with one of their up-and-comers in the future. He has good pop but his defense is suspect. He fights big puncher Colombian Samuel Miller with a regional belt on the line. (What is up with all the Colombians? They are all punchers!)

In the undercard, way-past-it Kevin Kelley, who was KO'd not long ago by Bobby Pacquiao, fights former Manny Pacquiao sparmate David Rodela, this time at 135 pounds. Kelley would be a great addition to the FNF team, as he did in a guest spot years ago, or even as a third man on Showtime to complement Bernstein's commentary. Maybe there isn't enough room in the budget with the struggling economy and the guy has to feed his family. Still, after seeing all the wars he's been in, you would think that he would be in danger every time he steps in the ring.

David Lopez is a real good middleweight who was cursed with weakchinitis!

He would give any of the top guys at 160 a run for their money!

i remember kevin back in the day he was a beast. he's one of boxing good guys he doesn't have to leave the game but fighting wise he has nothing to prove. become a trainer or something. nobody wants to see him get seriously hurt

I liked how Kelley grilled O'Neil Bell after he won a robbery decision over Dale Brown. Caught him totally off-guard. But we need more real guys like that.

HBO tagged it the featherweight Hagler-Hearns.

I also think it was the first fight where a feather made more than a million, but I could be wrong.

People hate on Naz, but today's modern feather champs like Pac, JMM, EM, and MAB have to acknowledge that he paved the way for big paydays for the little guys. (Carbajal-Gonzalez was another such trailblazing fight)

Kelly lost a split nod and he was f***king robbed. he won at least 5 of the 8 rounds.
