So Dacres has left Matchroom and signed signed with Queensberry. Anyone surprised? Didn't see this coming personally. Not all that sold on Dacres, decent boxer but lacks power to mix with the big boys. Where does he fit with FW's domestic stable of Heavyweights?

Hearn willingly let him go probably because Dacres didn't want to take the fights Matchroom were offering him. This was on Hearn's terms. I'm a little surprised as Dacres sold some good tickets for the Birmingham show. Although he is a heavyweight he doesn't have a lot of power at all.

Dacres would beat Adeleye easily and they should make that fight next.

Hopefully it also breaks the silly story that Sam Jones managed fighters only sign to Matchroom.

I have no idea, but Hearn has mentioned that if some of his fighters aren't taking steps up or impressing with stoppage performances, then he's happy to let them go. Dacres falls into that category.

    so
so it could be more likely the latter and hearns been saying this for years and still puts on mismatches. don't bother saying what about shalom or warren, we already know they put mismatches

Did you read what I said? Hearn said that he has realised after letting Buatsi and Okolie go that if a fighter isn't selling a load of tickets, getting stoppages, or taking step-ups rather than staying at the same level over a few fights, he is willing to let them leave. Can you give a recent example of a fighter signed to Matchroom who falls into all those 3 categories since you are so confident?

You never mentioned ticket sales but i was talking about mismatches that Hearn still puts on. He didn't really have a choice with Butsai wasn't he out of contract he did let go of Okalie who only had one fight left. do you know how many fights Dacres had left on his contract or was he a free agent?

I don’t believe he was a free agent and they mutually decided to part ways.

Well it’s common sense, if a fighter shifts a load of tickets their quality doesn’t matter. So I’m guessing you can’t give any examples of Matchroom fighters falling into those categories.

What I meant was that he realised there’s no point paying a fighter a load of money when they aren’t generating any internet like Okolie and Buatsi. They have gone to Sky and it’s actually worked out better for Hearn and Matchroom.

Dacres moving to Queensberry makes sense for him as he can fight Adeleye and then Itauma in the future higher up on cards. I guess he’ll box on their Telford shows.

Looking forward to Joshua having a superfight in December with piles of available fighters to select from which an ex World Champion at the top table would fight:

    Francis Ngannou
    Martin Bakole
    Daniel Dubois
    Joe Joyce
    Zhilei Zhang
    Frankie Sanchez
    Jared Anderson
    Makhmudov
    Big Baby Miller

Bring any of them on for Dec 23.

Why do you have to mention Joshua everywhere for? Please stop. You’re a great poster but it’s getting annoying.

You post about mismatches for fighters that have left Matchroom.

The list above for Joshua will ensure no mismatch.

No excuses for a stiff in Dec 23

Dead right no excuses at all.

No need to waste everyone's time facing someone like Charr when there are plenty of other better contenders available.

Where did he say, " impressing with stoppages"?
I've heard him say, if they keep asking for easy fights and if they aren't busy enough on socials he will release them. Havnt heard the impress with stoppages one tho

Well not exactly stoppages, but he said fighting on the front-foot and entertaining the crowd if you are much better than your opponent rather than drifting to an easy points decision.
