Just before he retired last time he was payed a lump sum from Don King but never got on the plane.
I think he will find a few cold shoulders if he tries.
The guy has talent and has already headlined his own PPV, he should stay here and try and emulate Mundine only at Heavyweight and without Khoder trying to line his own pockets we might see some competitive fights.
Why ould he go to Fenech?
I think he will end up at Blacktown being trained by Lincoln Hudson and co promoting with Fidel:happy

Good move by Haumono, hopefully he can start getting some good fights and fighting more often.

I don't think sol or hoppa would have a chance fighting in usa.

    daz52,

i think solo has shown enough potential to continue boxing and with more fights against decent opposition he may make some waves. he just needs more fights where the opposition will throw punches back at him.
but i think u r wrong about him being in trouble against couser. he may have recieved a couple of shots from him but solo was never in trouble.

    daz52,

if solo can absorb big punches and many of them then i think he may be competitive against most of the leapais and briggs etc.
whether he beats them we'll just have to wait and see. but i still think he is a hard nut to crack and with boxing in his blood you would think he would show a lot of heart when under attack.

he is obviously going to get beat sooner or later but i think it will be good for aussie boxing if he keeps winning for a little while yet.

also if kali meehan get pull off an upset and win his title fight i think you will see these local heavyweights training just that little bit harder in the gym.

i guess its just the underdog thing of you never know far any of these fighters will go. just look at michael katsidis he has gone a long way in 4 fights.

Why cant they fight in the U.S??

I think you mean they wont become world champs etc...

I think every1 knows Hoppa aint a world beater but what he obviously has is a desire to test himself.

I have a new found respect for the guy.

At the end of the day it is a pretty exciting time in the Aussie Heavy Scene.
I can't remember a time when the top 12 guys are active fighters and with Solo changing management there are so many match ups to be made.
I hate the tall poppy syndrome that this country is renowned for (must be the convict heritage)
Let's get behind our boxers and give them 100% support.
