The sanctioning body or the local commision should not just issue the wraps, but actually be the one's to put them on the boxers. This wouldn't include any huge cost or red tape. Both camps have their hands wrapped equally and thus can't argue. This could also be done at any level of boxing.

Due away with hand wrap completely? As somebody else mentioned they could go back to bare knuckles...If they had bare knuckle boxing before, and these men are true warriors...Why the hell they need hand wrap anyways? LOL
I just say the commision goes around, sticks THERE own 8 oz gloves on each fighter, and let em go at it. There's no wrap, the commision supplied the same gloves, there is no issue.

    .

No. It's very simple. Corporations drug test all the time. It would not cost that much

None of these ideas are feasible.

Every fighter, especially at the Pro level, has a preferred way of wrapping his hands. And every trainer wraps a bit differently from one to the next. And the wraps are never exactly the same from fight to fight.

You cant just say "wrap this way". Especially in a championship fight, the fighter is going to want his man to wrap his hands just right.
And having one man from the commish supposedly do the wraps wont work. No fighter would ever agree to that. Someone with brittle hands, or a fighter with long fingers, or wide palms, narrow wrists, etc etc, they are all going to be different in how they want their hands to feel when wrapped.

The best solution is still to have a member of the opposing camp watch the hands being wrapped

They already do that...that's obviously NOT the solution...

I think someone brought this **** up in another thread and came up with a GOOD idea...

Someone mentioned that they should FILM the wrapping of the hands and have it as part of the whole fight...similar to the weigh-in.

Watch each fighter wrap their hands, so that the idea of trying to fool not only the opponent's camp and the officials, but now would have to somehow convince the rest of the world he isn't/wasn't cheating...

    Again:

    1) Wraps and gloves are sealed are supplied by the santioning body to each participant. An agent for the body and the opponents trainer moniter the wrapping process.

    2) Immediately following the fight, the sanctioning body has the gloves and wraps removed by an agent for the opposing fighter/trainer can inspect the wraps, and if requested, the warps are tested for illegal substances.

It would be relatively painless and inexpensive. The examination after the fight would do more to prevent cheating than anything.

That makes for dull fights. Guys breaking their hands and wrists aren't going to throw with as much conviction or as often. Why do you think the striking in MMA is so lame?

Best Idea yet, I would not be surprised if the sanction bodies adopted this idea, its simple, it could be incorporated quickly and its simple .

No one is arguing the style of hand wrapping, the issue is tampered wraps or treated wraps and loaded boxing gloves.
