    Which one helps the most?

    Push ups?

    Heavy Bag?

    Shadow Boxing?

Are there other neat exercises to increase your punch output? I throw punches but eventually seem to get weaker with them.

Please do share any stories. :bbb

Are you interested in how to create openings to punch through? Or do you just want to throw a lot of punches?

I'm not sure if you're asking the right question.

The way I see it.....your car refuses to go far, but you're asking if better tires, or better driving skills will fix the problem. The question you should be asking is simply, how can you get more gas, so that you can increase the mileage?

It's not so much what exercises you do, but HOW you do them. High intensity training, intervals....we talk about it all the time here.

What does your conditioning training look like?

Im sorry, I was kind of vague. I want to throw more punches.

My conditioning right now is pretty much the usual gym treatment:

    3 rounds jump rope
    3-5 rounds speed bag
    5-7 rounds heavy bag
    3 rounds shadow boxing

Might throw in 3 rounds on the double end bag.

I also run sometimes, but get lazy with it.

I've been training for about 4 months and have been getting some good sparring done.

Yes, exactly. I am gassing out. But I feel like the problem is in my arms and not the cardio. Maybe I'm mistaken.

But thanks, I need to pick up some high intensity drills.

I wasn't being sarcastic... punch more.

If you want to be able to do more pushups, do pushups more often. If you want to be able to run further, run more. If you want to be able to throw more punches, throw more punches.

Why people think there's a different rule when it comes to punching I don't know.

Start stretching more. Not enough of it is done, in assisting Speed and Endurance or Power.

It's worrying how little stretching you see at ABA gyms.

True, but theres very few know how to and when. If one thing is wrong with structure, nothing works as it should.

    You sit with your back to the wall, preferably a wall of a gymnasium. Knees bent, breathing from your stomach, full focus on what you're doing- its not easy. But here's the catch;

    There is no stool/chair.

    Nothing to sit on.

    NOTHING.

And that my friend is a wall sit.

NO STOOL??!!?! NOTHING?!??!? (spits out coffee) ....but...but...

    (okay enough sarcasm...:))

I'm interested to learn how you think wall sits would help with punch output.

BTW - they are really easy, and I have trouble believing they are helpful for anything but legs and even then.... I could think of better leg conditioning exercises.

    Please enlighten us.
