I could picture him in that outfit pouring wine for Siegfried and Roy as they sit poolside in their thongs.
I like Juarez a lot. He's a truly likable kid and he can punch and take a shot. But he can be frustrating to watch because he can be calculating to a fault. I think Juarez could have gotten Barrios out of there earlier if he stepped on the gas but he just can't change his temperament. That said, even though Rocky was much quicker than the Hyena, he had a guy in front of him that wasn't going to wear down too quickly. When Rocky lets his hands go, he's got crackling power and underrated hand speed. I'm pleased for him and would like to see him realize his dream and win a belt.:smoke :smoke
I can see Soto vs. Juarez taking place for the vacant WBC strap. I also see the same result as the first fight. Baloyi and Cook might be better choices for Juarez's management, espeically Baloyi since he's starting to get up their in age, and also tends to be a bit economical with his punches.
I have never been impressed with Juarez ever since his loss to MAB in their rematch. He lacks the aggressiveness and that willingness to win. Seems content to just wait for an opportunity to unload his bombs. Not very effective against a good boxer who can fight from the outside, and who can use their jab very well. Plus, he is so damn slow! A solid gatekeeper for me.
Just sayin'...I totally agree! The ref was an idiot. Any judge that had Juarez winning had obviously succumbed to hometown bias. Rocky was losing the fight. No doubt in my mind about it. Then he pulled it out w/a legit TKO on cuts. Fair n' square. So he deserves the credit for pulling a TKO win outta' the fire. Good for him. I'm among those who kind of like Rocky despite being somewhat frustrated with his overly controlled style. Barrios made a great fight out of it (not surprisingly) and I definitely would watch a rematch w/Rocky or any other fight he's in. Great Fight!!
i really enjoyed the fight especially the last 3 rounds. it was toe-to-toe action and the crowd was on their feet. credit to barrios and juarez for that. i feel that juarez was boosted by the crowd's chants during that time.
