Using Ice Baths.....is Cold Therapy. It's help the recovery of the CNS.Central Nervous System....and reduces inflammation in muscles after your workouts...so overall it promotes good recovery. Especially after High Intensity workouts....Many sprinters...get in tube's like that full of ice.
you do NOT get used to it in a few minutes, it takes real mental strength to even get yourself into one of those, i have tried in cold water but not filled with ice, on the first time i couldn't get myself to sit down, the second time i got in and sat for 5 minutes, but that 5 minutes felt like an eternity.
you are arguably one of the dumbest kids I have ever encountered, so it is insane for you to call anyone else stupid (and learn how to spell) and the point of my example was that they have kids kick hard trees to kill nerve fibers. that's the whole point of the drill. I'm sure your bitchass wouldn't even kick a bamboo tree:rofl
Ok then hypnotiq the genius, if you can read which im doubting why dont you look at my posts and quote the one where i mentioned Thai boxing? You might have some trouble with that. I believe i said martial arts. Throughout the martial arts world there are many examples of people using toughening up exercises, such as breaking concrete with bare hands , hitting very dense wood ect ect the list goes on, as i said this would not be benificial to the average boxer there for i would deffinatley not suggest you attempt it as by your posts i judge your far far far below average. However despite comon belief that hitting hard objects is just to show of it is actually benificial and does change bone structure to a denser form if done from an early age for many years http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=yENNqRJ2mu0 there are 1000's of examples and martial arts have know this for 100's of years , and believe me they know alot more than you think you know. Right i like helping the mentally challanged but iv got stuff to do im afraid. Oh yeh forgot to say **** off.
i was arging that there are trees softer then heavy bags. also nwil stated that THAI boxers used bamboo trees
yeah, right. have you ever even met him or seen a video of him? oh, and by the way, we're not even in the same weight class, if I recall correctly, although I'm sure his skill is not that of mine, so it would probably be an interesting fight. actually, one of my friends is about his weight and height (and most likely more skilled) and I've beaten him on multiple occasions. so, do you know what you're talking about, or are you just stirring **** up?
Implies that you think the idea of it is stupid , please if you ever see anyone breaking concrete ect please go and call them a moron oh and please get someone to video the result. You didnt know that it made your bones harder until i just told you, you probably dont know your arse from your elbow. Nwil relentless is just stirring **** probably its what he does best , but hes also a good poster with good advice when he stops **** stirring lol
younghypno is straight out of BK i dont need to know him or see him, he would kick your ass and your stupid friends ass all on the same day while makin' sweet love to your brother.
The "advances in training" common in other sports have not yet infiltrated boxing. All we have today is a silly preoccupation with so called strength training used to duck proper but boring boxing training. If these modern methods are so good why is it the general level of boxing skills and fitness is deteriorating? When I was young hand injuries were not so common as they are today. Why you ask? Simple, boxers are too busy playing with weight training that they don't have enough time to condition their hands. They will tell you that bench presses are more efficient than pushups. What they don't know is that boxers should do pushups on their fingers and knuckles. After many months of conditioning this will strengthen the bones in their hands. Walking on the hands and knuckles was common practise in boxing clubs 70 years ago. Maybe it won't make the biceps any bigger, but it certainly reduces hand injuries.
You're someone who clearly has no clue about weight training, and seeing as you don't know anything about it, it must be wrong.
name me a boxer who neglects boxing skills for strength training, every boxer that has included strength training to his routine has it as a supplement to his boxing regime. comparing bench press to push ups is apple to oranges, bench press is for strength and push ups are for endurance. then again you are a stupid woman, its a waste of time aruing with a cross-trainers *****, he made you call him daddy!atsch
oh and how is boxing skill level deteriorating? top fighters can still fight 12 rounds, and dont give me the **** about 15 rounders, no one trains for 15 rounders any more. stupid ***** i suggest you learn boxing before pretending to be a know it all.
agreed. oh yeah, relentless, bench is not the same as push ups. with push ups you are stabilizing your body with your toes, so it involves your core. with bench you're only using your upper body to push while your legs dangle from the bench, or rest w/e...
