I remember training in local gyms in the mid seventies and people using them then I think it was at this time they became a part of professional sport, I would think some use them more than others but to think even freaks of nature like Tyson or Ali didn't use some sort of performance enhancer is being just bloody silly.

You CAN'T use steroids that often.

    They're used in cycles.

Cycle + PCT equally long and then time off equal to both combined.

Ok, to prevent myself from looking bloody silly I NOW BELIEVE Ali and early Tyson were juicing too.
Add them to the list. :good

    Really, really wouldn't doubt that.

Cus took Tyson under his wing at such a young age because he knew he had the potential to become even more exceptional than he already was.

They didn't go "This is a great kid, lets train him to become something special!" they saw him and said to themselves "This kid is a ****ing freak, lets apply it".

These fighters fight twice a year now.
Truth is, many strength athletes ARE constantly using.

Lou Simmons, who trains a whole brigade of powerlifing record-holders, admits he's been "on" for the best part of 30 years (and says it's never hurt him). Obviously powerlifters are towards an extreme end of steroid-use but you cant say it aint working !

98% of human beings bodies just can't take that. It's like drinking... You've got a liver that's there to protect you, but it can only take and filter so much before it just shits out on you.

Injectable steroids on the whole are easier on the liver, and some even bypass the liver completely, but they're then less effective. Methylated steroids, as in ones you take orally, go through the liver and are therefore harder on it.

Lot of little in's and outs. Some are used exclusively for fat loss with next to no muscle gain, like Winstrol. Those steroids are just muscle preservers while dropping serious weight, say for competition which bodybuilders do a few times a year. Winstrol's a very light roid'.

I think you can't over use these things but it just seems to be a part of sport now although not all do use them, its probably like smoking someone will die at fifty whereas someone else will go to eighty.

The late 70's and early 8-'s on where the start. I know Lyle Alzado grew large fast and had a vicious attitude to go with it. Tyson,Golota,Briggs,Botha,IKE, all grew from smaller men to giants, muscles, etc. and had the dispostion. Evander also gained bulk but did not have the unstabile attitude and mean dispostiton that the others had...could you imagine...Louis,Marciano,Dempsey or Frazier on steriods, even Liston...30 lbs of added muscle and rage......not to mention what a shrunken pecker will do for your attitude

    Briggs really grew.

    Golota though?

He debuted at 220 pounds or so.

His highest ever recorded weight is about 250 pounds.

That's a far cry from Briggs who fought from 205 to over 270 pounds seemingly without a ounce of fat on him.

I think it's the most obvious that these two juiced.

Makes his pecker a smaller target when they retaliate.
