the contact K2 want him to sign does not guarantee the fight will be agaisnt wlad or vitali. if haye destroys both then niether will want anything to do with him, leaving k2 to promote him agaisnt Tony Thompson or some other bum

    From Dan Rafael ESPN:
"I saw some quotes from David Haye manager/trainer Adam Booth this week in which he referred to me as a "biased keyboard warrior," a response to my comments in last week's blog about his pathetic negotiating skills with regard to a proposed fight for Haye against heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko this summer. I don't think it's bias to expose someone who spends a lot of time boasting about fights he supposedly wants to make, then manages the negotiations like a hand grenade. Put it this way: As a manager, well, Booth is a hell of a trainer. He makes Nacho Beristain look like Al Haymon."

I got it when WALDO and VITLAY couldn't make their minds up who was going to fight Haye....you could sniff bull**** even that far back :hey

It's no surprise to me that this has happened, of course all the huggers will blame Haye and say he should fight for **** all. I wonder how much WALDO fought for in his first title shot :think

It's the biggest fight out there for both fighters, and only one of them wants it, that much is obvious.

Why would you think that? K2, like any promotion would do what offers the most money. Which is Wlad-Haye, Wlad rematch if Haye wins or Vitali or both - of course that's K2's interest and that's Haye's interest and that's the best for the division. Why would they, always looking for family business, put on a Haye vs. bum fight if it'd make them less money?

    Please think reasonably.

Are you suggesting they didn't toss a coin to see who would fight Haye??I think it would be more accurate to state that they tossed a coin to see who wouldn't face Haye

Can you name some of them? Why didn't Wlad fight one of them rather than paying Rahman to get punched in the face?

Wlad chose to fight the HIGHEST RANKED + AVAILABLE fighter instead of CANCELLING a fight (because of Povetkin's injury).

    What are you complaining about?

Come on now... use your head. Why would they do weeks of negotiation if they wouldn't want to "get punched in the face"? Isn't it easier to... not negotiate?

But they want the Haye fight, and they see it extremely winnable for Wlad. And IF Haye wins, Vitali would like to take revenge, that's what their family history tells. It would be stupid from a promotional standpoint, to 'sign' Haye only not to fight him. K2 brings more money to the table at HW than any other promotion, because the Klitschkos bring international sponsors, huge German TV and site money and all the money from the broadcast rights from all over the world.

I believe what you say, but it seems what you were told is the worst possible interpretation of the offered contract. The Klitschkos want a multiple-fight deal with Haye to have the guarantee of a possible rematch and/or a revenge fight with Vitali. Since that's what Haye wants, he should take it.
