    The weirdest thing I see repeated on this forum is that all the tallest fighters would be destined to be rails in the old days. “PEDs are responsible for all these big, tall fighters” Anyone who lifts weights can get “big” by boxing’s standards people just didn’t lift back then at least not properly to put on much muscle… now we’ve got dedicated S&C who yes peddle drugs but they’ve also got guys actively trying to get bigger and stronger with the right tools. Bob Foster could be stronger than Jack Johnson as he was in the weight room and look much more impressive if he was on the right regime and program. Kostya Tszyu would’ve bossed Muhammad Ali at any lift and he was 150 odd lbs. Modern training has some advantages, it isn’t the fault for the decline in skill, that rests at the feet of the business end as I see it.
