True. And, Hatton has yet to fight a single mandatory to date. I liked the Tszyu and Mayweather fights, all his other fights were pretty-much handpicked imo. Witter has no Tszyu or Mayweather, but he did step up to fight Judah on short notice. He also came up the traditional way by winning the English, Britisch, European and then WBC titles. That alone tells me that he deserves a shot at the linear Junior Welterweight title. The animosity between the two should make the fight meaningful, as well as the WBC title, the Ring title and the fact it is between #1 and #2 of the division. Imo this fight could and should have been made a long time ago, and we know who is willing and who is not.
Witter hurt his hand, it was obvious. besides, what kind of an argument is that? Likewise, if Hatton hadn't scuffed Collazo to the canvas in the first then Collazo would've won. Many, myself included, thought he won anyway. He had Wicky in a world of trouble late on, and since then Mosley has showed up Collazo for the average fighter he is. I don't know why the Hatton sackswingers keep defending him. You're defending a guy who takes the **** out of the sport.
You defend Witter by using an imaginary hand injury. And then say Collazo got 'showed up', despite the fact that he actually did get injured during the Mosley fight. atsch
oh yeah I forgot about Collazo's hand injury, fair enough it wouldn've been a problem. How was he doing before breaking it? What was imaginary about Witter's hand problem? :huh anyway, my point was that without the messy KD Hatton would've dropped the decision to Collazo.
That's the thing, people have a go at Witter about various fights but Ricky spent the last 6 rounds of the Urango fight holding on for dear life. He should have been disqualified.
Of that list, Collazo is probably not even top 10 at welter, Urango and Maussa are plain C level type guys, and Castillo is shot to pieces Not quite as good it appears. In fitting with the smoke and mirrors career of Hatton really
Did you do maths at school? Without the point for the knockdown it would've actually still been 115-113 twice and 114-114, a Hatton win.
really? if that;s the case then I take it back. I got my wires crossed. The point remains the same.....to say Witter wouldn't have won had he not scored 2 heavy KD's means little. He DID hurt his hand too, it was very obvioushe stopped loading up with it. Like I say, many had Collazo winning even with the KD.
Maussa is C class but Harris is a good win for Witter????? That sums up the bias right there really, doesn't it? Maussa-KO-Harris!:good BTW have you checked out Corelys record since Witter? 3-0. He's more shot than Castillio.
