Some More Interesting words by Miguel Cotto

I dont even care what PBF does anymore, Cotto is the one making the quality fights and keeping things exciting at 147. I think PBF has a boring style and well hell I dont miss him one damn bit. To be exactly clear I have no interest in PBF and only a fight with Cotto makes me shell out dollars to watch this great but boring fighter.

 

Fans of BOXING are beginning to care less and less about Mayweather and his bojangling. Taking a fight against Hatton again or De La Hoya again proves nothing compared to the entertainment and championship value the Cotto vs. Margarito fight offers. One guys wants to fight someone he has already beaten while the two biggest set of cajones in the division will fight each other. Champions have to walk the walk or take a seat and let the rest get on with their business.

Cotto is right, he doesn't need to chase Floyd anymore, Cotto is the peoples champ.

 

Actually no, he could continue ducking EITHER or.

He could use the premise that they are both "nobodies" with "no fanbase" so that this fight doesn't prove anything.

If Cotto wins, he could (and i'm not saying it's right btw) simply say that he beat margarito who wasn't a big draw or anyone special in the first place.

If margarito wins, Mayweather would say that it wasn't a draw or that Cotto wasn't anyone special in the first place.


The third excuse would be plain and simple, "retirement".

There are MANY ways for him to excuse himself from a fight.

Cotto is not the type of guy to talk **** and he knows that he is that good.. He knows how Mayweather does thing and how he plays the game.. err business.. Cotto isn't gonna' try to waste his time on Mayweather.. Mayweather might say Cotto has no fanbase or popularity, but everyone is talking about it.. The fans, the experts, everybody.. Everybody know's Cotto is Mayweather's true threat.. He's doing what he's suppose to be doing and thats cleaning out the welterweight division.. I'll say it now.. Mayweather may be the champ, but Cotto is the man at 147..

And has Mayweather ever saying or mentioning anything like "Cotto has **** on me" or "Margarito knows he doesn't want to step up the the #1 P4P king?" Cotto may not be calling out Mayweather, but he doesn't need to.. Just look at what he's doing.. That should be pretty much clear.. If you are the champion, how do you not see someone cleaning out the division that you are the champion of, not a threat at as his #1 challenger?

Just wait until after the Cotto/Margo fight.. Hatton isn't getting his rematch next year so who is Floyd gonna' fight after his rematch with DLH? Just gonna' wait for another year or after Hatton can win three fights? It's only fair he fights the winner of the Cotto/Margo fight, and a case will be made for it too.. Even if they don't call him out, Arum will..
