King Kong Agbeko, 25-1 bantamweight title holder
Ricardo Cordoba, 31-1-2 junior featherweight contender
Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym, 35-1 junior featherweight contender
Omar Narvaez, 27-0-2 flyweight title holder
Roberto "La Arana" Vasquez, 26-0 junior bantamweight contender
Takefumi Sakata, 32-4-2 flyweight title holder

And with the exception of Agbeko, the latter 5 all have something in common:

    - They fight overseas
    - They fight below featherweight
    - They all have some serious skills

If you haven't seen these guys fight, you should really check them out. Any other guys that should be included?

Some great past boxers that most people haven't heard of are Yuri Arbachakov, Jung-Koo Chang and Jiro Watanabe. Generally alot of the smaller fighters around the 105-118 classes get underrated, especially those not from the US.

Gennady Golovkin - 13 (10 KO) - 0. Olympian and MW World Champion in 2004. Has an immaculate amateur record

Mads Larsen - 50 (KO 37) - 2. Two defeats where one was on a cut and the other was a highly dubious loss to Ottke in Germany. Veteran. Clear top 10-15 SMW, but because he is not American very few would put him in their top 15 because they have never heard of him. If he was american he would be seen as the top US contender ahead of Green, Lacy etc.

Andre Ward - 16 (KO 11) - 0. Olympic Gold LHW. He is American, so he will get some spotlight, but so far he is still under the radar for most people. He is spectacular and upcoming p4p boxer.

Speak for yourself, me and many other boxing fans really enjoy watching the lower weight classes.

I think you mean Andre Ward. There are actually threads about him in this forum as we speak.

Mads Larsen is quite well known, not sure wht you are talking about. Not that highly regarded because he isn't that good. Was used as a sparring partner for Kessler against Calzaghe from memory.

Who, in your oppinion, would win in a fight between Larsen and Lacy?

and who of the two has gotten most limelight?

I've seen him, he's got good skills and a tight guard but lacks power. He's a decent contender that would give most fighters a bit of trouble, although Holt did own him.

Ward appears to have potential. I'm not yet convinced, but I'm paying attention!

    That's about right.

A typical high risk low reward type fighter. I think a fight with Hatton didn't eventuate for those reasons.
