Yeah I saw him fight Medley both times, I think he could give some of the more limited top 10-15 guys a good fight, maybe beat some. He'd stand a good chance against a slow guy like Urango, alsong as he chose to box and not trade. 147's pretty deep and not his best weight, he could however beat some of the fringe contenders such as Jesus Soto Karass.

Lacy before his fight with Calzaghe, Larsen now, although it would be very competitive. Larsen isn't that flash, and is getting on. Lacy has gotten more limelight, but so what. He was a unified champ. When did Larsen ever become a unified champ. That doesn't prove he is unknown overall.

    What did Lacy ever unify?
    :huh

And Larsen is of course not completly unknown, but I was more talking in relatives. A guy that has never really lost (except one cut and one dubious fight with Ottke in Germany) would , if he was American right now, be talked about far far far far far far far more. Green, Codrington etc etc get far more attention. Sure, Larsen has been around for a decade and is not unknown unknown, but the average American boxing fan would go "who?" while all these other - really lesser - fighters will be touted.

Of ocurse a part of it is due to Larsen's contractual problems, but far the main part is nationality. Look at Duddy, who has a quarter of the skill and talent of Larsen - look at how much press he gets.

    Relatively speaking Larsen is unknown.

Giovanni Segura 19 wins 15KO Light Flyweight. Age 26 out of Bell Gardens, CA. I have seen this guy fight and we are from the same neighborhood. Check him out. Its too bad the lighter weights don't get much attention.

IBO and IBF, although the IBO doesn't really count. The point i was making though is that Lacy was a world champion Larsen wasn't, and that Lacy beat some higher profile fighers, where as Larsen has feasted on bums for the most part.

Ottke was a crap champ, and having a close fight with him isn't anything new or exciting.

It is a fair point though that Euro fighters receive less recognition however overall.

You must have been at the second fight? Medley was fairly ordinary in their first encounter but Isaac showed stamina issues late. He seemed a fading fighter to me but may have looked better in their second clash where he won by KO.

Chris John isn't very well known worldwide considering he has had 42 fights and 10 title fights, people might have "heard" the name but i doubt if they could indentify him.

Paul Appleby 12-0 8KO is a good prospect out of the UK no one will have heard of only 20 aswell and already the British FW Champ

good boxer-puncher...started as an amatuer at welterwieght!!! then grew into his body and became a destructive puncher with a long arse reach and a great jab and move style. never got the competition he wanted. he was a definate cruiserwieght but heavywieght was just too big for him. be a king of fools or a servant of kings

congoese born, franch based fighting in italy...a man with many passports is a man without a country.

a very slick fighter with decent power and good handspeed. he was going to get a shot against vernon forrest for the ibf belt...but forrest got the call to fight mosley. and forrest disappeared out of khaliqs sight. i belive he would of got the verdict. frustrated that his career was going no where and no big pay days were gonna happen. he went back to driving taxi's (he got more money in the taxi business than in his entire boxing career)

regarded the hardest top 10 hitter at minimumwieght. very very very fast and as i said has a dig in both hands. nice jab aswell..just a bit too agressive but can mix it with the best i feel.
