Im Just Making This thread to Bring to your attention that miguel cotto is a very dangerous fighter and I dont care what happened between him margarito he is still a very skilled fighter and a major threat to anyone that could fight him

i mean the guy was like #3-#4 p4p on most peoples list.... lets not forget about that ... the margarito loss means nothing ... its just delaying cotto's career

I think Cotto beats Pac at 147. Cotto can't make 140 so no point in discussing.

Cotto is a beast and he is still a top 12 pfp guy.

If he learns to tie Margarito up and keep him in the center of the ring, he'll win the rematch 9 rds to 3.

I had it level through 6, with Margarito two up after 10.

Cotto's supposed 'outboxing' of Margarito is overrated.

Cotto has already quit once in a fight. It will make it that much easier for him to quit again when he faces adversity.

thats another thing... what constitutes cotto quitting?

he took a knee because he was getting this **** beat out of hiim that was a good strategical move.... then his corner threw in the towel

    how did he quit?

what do you mean when he isnt as strong? you act like after the 6th round cotto just dies or something...

hes not a floyd type to maintain the same energy level for 12

but hes good for like 8 rounds.... paq has struggled with smaller bruisers
    cotto would abuse paq

To be fair, he seemed to look towards the corner hoping that they would. I will never call him a quitter for it though as he gave his all and had nothing left to win the fight, no shame in it, he was amazing for the first 5 or 6 rounds, his bust nose seemed to trouble him from the second round and I can't wait for the re match, don't know wether he can keep up what he was doing for long enough before Margarito gets to him again though. Either way, I agree about people forgetting, he's one of my favourite active boxers, love his style.

He quit as in.. it was his decision to stop the fight. He says so in an interview after the fight.

Who cares..........Paul Williams is there too scare him to retirement.

But agreed,Cotto is a great fighter and still one of the best WWs outhere.I want to see him vs Jennings to make my prediction vs Margarito II.
