Some Of You Seem To Forget How Dangerous Miguel Cotto Is

Cotto when down to signal Im done throw in the towel.

 

Okay look to be fair... and even though you're a bit of a troll...you're correct in that he did in a "literal" sense quit...

But when someone uses the word quit in boxing...it implies that he is coward, has no courage and gave up the fight

The fact that Cotto stepped into the ring with this man and beat his ****in face for 6 rounds nullifies this statement

The fact that he was fighting with a bloody ass nose SINCE ROUND 2...nullifies this statement

The fact that he could've "figuratively" quit SINCE ROUND 7 when he was ready to hit canvas...he didn't...he fought back, weathered the storm and continued to press the action

And the simple fact that he's humble about the entire situation...in my books...not only is he ****in' brave...he's NOT a "quitter"

 

Im not calling Cotto a quiter. Im just saying he quit.

If he quits again, he'll be a quiter.

Zab is not a billion times faster than PAC....he has a slight edge in speed just like he did with Floyd when they faught. But Zab and PAC are completely different fighters.

Zab is mentally weak...has stamina problems and too wild. He has all the talent in the world but he can't win the ELITE Level fights that he's had throughout his career.

PAC has proven to be able to fight at this level.....Cotto has as well. But NO...Shane is not as fast as PAC at this stage....All you have to do is look at his speed or lack there of in the Mayo fight to know this to be true.

By no means is it definite that PAC would be Cotto....but there are strong variables in this equation that lead me to believe PAC has got a better chance at beating Cotto at 140 than Cotto does at beating PAC at 140.

Floyd...it's hard to ever bet against him...the only guy I'd bet against him with would be if the man in your avatar got lucky enough to catch him in the ring....but I wouldn't count PAC out of a fight between PBF and PAC.

 

Do you not understand that Cotto is fighting Michael Jennings, the 43 ranked WW for the Title vacated by Williams.

He is fighing for the title against the 43 ranked welter...:-(

Arum gave him an ultimatum...Fight Jennings or nothing till Margarito...Cotto wanted Williams so he can prove his worth...Arum said no! it was either Jennings or nothing...

Oscar was a weak comparing point anyway as Cotto would actually fight instead of being a punching bag.

 

He will get written off of wins. I write him off of winning a rematch agaisnt Margarito. I write him off of ever beating Paul Williams. His weaknesses became apparent to me after the Mosely fight.

And then I thought. Wow I dont think he can beat Margarito .

Something about his style made me think of Margaritos uppercuts. Cotto was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO open for them against Shane Mosely.

Shane could have won if he threw this punch. He threw it a couple times , but that wasnt enough. Shane wanted to fire that right hand down the pike but how could it work if you dont throw enough of other punches to find your target.

Shane is a spastic fighter. He looks to brawl first. moving backwards and setting up ' 1-2's ' isnt exactly his strongest asset.


Now we can see his shortcomings well. Maybe people just couldnt see them before.

Think of how many people " wrote Margarito off " winning against Cotto.

I personally think the cotto hype was getting INSANE . NOW it is right where it should have been all along.
