Man that fight against Vernon this weekend just broke me.:bart I payed good $ to see that fight and was ready to see the Latin Snake finally hush his critics and to see him lose for the first time on his first PPV was heart wrenching... not to make excuses but he seemed to be very gased which is what Vernon said after his fight with Sergio the first fight which was a result to all of the timely body shots, but it is well documented that Snake had a hard time making weight and made it just 2 hours before final weigh in. Hopefully there would be a rubber match and Sergio Mora can redeem himself. They say you learn more from your losses than your victories and I believe that Sergio has learned more this weekend than he has in the past 3 years. Get well soon Champ, and bring the title back to the barrios.:desk

i think baldomir was just too big for him,he's a hugh welterweight and gatti's shots had no affect on him,add to the fact he was quite some time removed from his prime, baldomir was a level above daamgard.

the gomez fight was hard viewing though.

Gatti vs. Dorin. I had told all of my friends that that was going to be a 12 round war. Very disappointing.

Gatti wasn't gonna win. Baldomir was an iron-chinned tank who was very unlikely to be stopped, and Gatti wasn't gonna outbox him for a decision either. Gatti would have some success boxing in spots, but Baldomir would get to him with that straight right hand time and time again. Gatti's always winged a lot of wide shots, and in his prime, he was a sucker for a straight right hand.

By 2006, Gatti had been taken more beatings than all of Ike Turner's girlfriends.

That's hopeful. ^ Perhaps Mora simply doesn't have the class, or the confidence, to fight at the elite level. Mora was just as apprehensive in the first fight with Forrest as he was last weekend. The difference was, in the first fight something was unmistakably wrong with Forrest, and as soon as Mora realized that he became confident and came out of his shell. Well, this time Forrest didn't show weakness, and Mora never made it out of his shell.
