Canelo will not want to ruin his reputation. Ducking won't go well with his Mexican fans. He will have to fight Golovkin in 2016.

If Canelo dragged ggg down to say 155 ?Canelo would more than likely have at least 5-10 pounds of a weight advantage when they get in the ring

He already ruined his reputation by fighting for the lineal middleweight title @ 155 lbs, no ordinary title.

Catchweights are ok for non-title bouts.

It is not about weight advantage. Golovkin may be too dehydrated/exhausted if he cuts additional 5 pounds, so he may lose reflexes and power.

    Blame Cotto for that.

I also don't think its fair to be negative about Canelo until we see what happens. Noone thought he would fight Lara or Trout either.

If he doesn't fight GGG by next Sept PPV date, then we will have reason to throw hate but until then I think he should get benefit of the doubt.

The guy is as big G or bigger, there is no excuse for him not to fight him.

If Canelo holds MW belt he should fight at 160.

What the hell makes people assune Canelo wont take on GGG, between the two Canelo is the pne who is consistently seeking out and taking on tough fights.
Just based off fighter history it should be a given it happens next year. As far as all the other stuff GGG need to take whatever deal offered and try to make himself a big name.
Better more accomplished fighters have taken the short end of the stick to ultimately maximize there potential.

GGG and his fans need to stop coming up with reasons not to fight and just fight, according to everybody GGG wins at any weight anyway so take the fight.
