Unfortunately, few real boxers post much...they know SOOOO much that we don't, but they never tell/teach us anything...:conf

Roch deserves a little more respect on here. Anyone who has actually bothered to have a conversation with him knows he is a good fella and he did have a good pro career. Shame to here he is not making a come back but life goes on.

If he has any different photo's of his fights and career I would be happy to look at them and discuss.

It would be nice to read a few more of the former pro's stories and insights and anyone else who has been in the business in some shape or form. The forum has got a little drab recently with the arguing and such.

actually its a combination of being conditioned properly and have your body as solid as humanly possible ,also any pro will tell you boxing is an alfa male kind of experience kinda like im a better tougher man than you attitude and youll need to smash me unconcious to get me outta here, when your in a really tough battle and in the deep trenches taking big shots flush , even if you really hate the guy your fighting ,i mean detest him in and out the ring ,
there comes a point in a fight where a mutual respect comes into play because you and him are thinking ****ing hell im hitting him with my best combinations, hooks uppercuts you name it and hes still game if not more!thats why very often fighters will touch gloves in the late rounds at the start of the round and cuddle after a war.its impossible not to respect a man when you know hes took your best and never buckled.

as for taking bombs somtimes you just say **** it and bite hard down on that gumshield and get to war!

i remember 1 fight i had early in my career and this guy was hitting me so hard with his jab it felt like i was getting smashed in the face with 1 of those old heavy glass ashtrays you get in pubs and i seriously thought this guy had tampered with the gloves so i had them checked after i won thank god.no tampering its just i was a new pro and without the amateur headgear is a big leap and culture shock in the pros but i soon got used to it.

im just an amatuer but was in a tough fight afew weeks back and its like you say you have to respect the guy after wards

i thought that fight was hard your fight must have been 10x harder
