Some points i have learnt about Marciano

Dempsey made an absolute fortune making one reelers.

 

Yes he certainly fooled the public into making them think he was some sort of mystical Achilles without accomplishing very much!

Must be nice to obtain god like status while only having to defend your crown against light heavyweights who lose eliminators, dying men, european and South American hype jobs instead of the biggest threats

Both comparable 185lb fighters. A lot of Dempsey fans hold Marciano accountable for the same things they don’t criticize jack of.

You and I agree on a lot of points, but you are definitely over critical on Marciano. You and I both agree Dempsey is overrated, we’ve agreed before on other threads

Upon further review, I am siding with Marciano over Rahman. Rahman has horrible stamina. Good luck beating Marciano when you gas very easily

 

I dont take offense but name me one area where I overrate Marciano

Head to Head Matchups (I pick him over anyone below 190lb, but I don’t think he beats any heavyweight great above 200lb)

Rating his accomplishments (defeated best of his era, should have fought Henry pre title and Valdes instead of cockell)

I would love to here which aspect I overrate him and why. I think I rate him pretty fairly for his biggest fan.


I would probably pick Bruno over Marciano despite Bruno’s severe stamina issues.

I'm 70 in a couple of months it would be absurd to have heroes at my age.
Johnson certainly isn't one he wouldn't make my top 30 favourites.
