Just thinking over Heavyweights,the lack of exciting match ups for American fans to get excited about and to bring popularity back to heavyweight boxing and boxing in general on an even larger scale in the U.S. What about a super six style tournament?,with possibly these boxers and these match ups: Thompson vs Arreola (both fighting tonight on same card) Chambers vs Solis juan Gomez vs Povetkin? Mormeck vs Helanius? any other ones any think might be good or better than these? These all seem fairly highly ranked,of course the two fights with americans and american based fighters would be possibly quite popular. and i think some of the match making/clash of styles could make for exciting fights. Have all the contestants come off big wins before entering the tournie,and have a lot of them on the same shows as one other prior to the tournament. Ide imagine sumit like this could be possible soon,especially with haye and klitschkos not going to go on for ever after the meaningful fights will have happened soon.
what is kevin johnson doing? i know the man in unpopular but he definitely has skills. i was really dissapointed after his fight with vitaly
ah ye,forgot about him tbh,ye he could mix it up well with those i listed,of course ide think they would all need to be active and winning in impresive enough style if they were to be entered into such a tournament.
i feel like johnson beats most of the guys on the list. not sure about hellenius or povetkin. don't know much about them. i would pick johnson over arreola

there is actually an okay bunch of heavyweights that could all be on about the same level,and make some very good fights with entertaining clash of styles. These promoters gota pull thier fingers out though.
Well if your not a casual fan there already has been some great fights at HW already this year, as well as more coming up. Vitali vs Solis and Peter vs Helenius we have had already had, with Adamek vs Vitali and Haye vs Wlad just around the corner. That there already shits on the super 6 from a great height. Not to mention if Thompson wins tonight he will then be facing Chambers for a title shot. We may yet also see Chagaev vs Povetkin as well under similar circumstances which I for one want to see. Below that we will be having a decent match up between two prospects Chisora vs Fury which again is a good fight already made. All in all this is a great year for HW boxing, to be totally honest it's seems to be having more fights made between the top boxers than all the other divisions.
well exicted for haye v wlad,and adamek v vitali,also fury vs chisora will have nice hype and will be decent. does seem the top fights are getting made,and some good match ups are there below that level,but for US excitement and good match making that brings exciting fights, a little more could be done. just seen thompson do ok,and know he will face chambers next! (no1 contender is chambers for ibf)
The division is as stale as last weeks bread. Haye & Adamek absolutely must provide at least memorable contests with Wlad & Vitali or we're in for even more boredom for next couple of years.
Exactly, that's the best 2 yanks taking on each other, they can't complain about that. Not to mention that Arreloa says he wants to be active this year and wants to take on another top rated European, that could well happen, he should fight one of these by the end of the year. Ustinov, Helenius, Boystov, Dimitrenko, Povetkin, Chagaev, the White wolf, Puluev or maybe even Valuev in a come back.
ive never seen a worse heavyweight title eliminator than thompson vs harris...they look 50 years old and thompson while accurate is slower than a 48 year old foreman..chagaev and povetkin are guys who fight once a year or if they are active with 2 fights, are fighting guys that are 6-34-5 (2 kos) looks pretty pathetic to me...
