    I can definitely see the appeal of Rocky. No glamour, natural talent, or hype, just pure grit and honest work. He looks like your average 30 something guy with a manual labor job trying to make ends meet. Kind of like how people took a liking to Charles Barkley. He had so many disadvantages but made no excuses and ducked nobody.
