Some say the blueprint to beating Tyson was fighting like Tillis did. Would Ali have beaten Tyson?

You are severely overating Ali's speed to what Tyson factually had faced. Mitch Green for example was not only as fast but he was also 6'5 and had a hell of a chin Williams had a laser jab etc. Ali at his fastest was 210 pounds or less, do you really think he's going to win out against an advanced bull like Tyson? You guys are acting like Tyson who is probably the fastest HW ever is somehow going to be a deer in head lights if he was faced with another fast fighter? Lol

The truth is Ali won most fights BC of his speed which would be nullified with Tyson's so he's dead in the water right there in a worse case scenario for Tyson getting a UD win.

There's literally no proof of any fight Ali had to suggest he would be favored in this fight. On the other hand there are plenty of Tyson fights to go on BC those are the types he fought and won without ever close to struggling.

You still have to defeat Tyson, no matter how much people big Ali's fights up BC he never fought anyone remotely as skills or fast as Tyson. There are a handful of guys that Tyson fought that would be better boxers than what Ali faced...people just don't want to believe it.

I know the blue print to beat Tyson and its not Ali's style, certainly not with that many holes in defense. You need to smother Tyson and keep just in range to unload POWER shots with occasional spacing to land upper cuts he may walk into, maybe some EFFECTIVE body punching to try and slow him down just enough..this is not Ali and Tyson himself was never out jabbed in over 130 rounds and 35 fights under Atlas / Rooney.

Only one person I think could be effective at out pointing Tyson from the outside ,distance fight strategy and that's Vitali Klitchko BC he is 6'7 strong and has a punch. Tyson's combos could be very hard to start coming together and could get disrupted...unlike Ali who WAS hit a lot , Vitali wasn't. Possibly Lewis? Beyond them know one comes to mind that I would think realistically I could favor against him trying to keep him at distance.

True, Holmes was past it, but he was a lot better than the empty shell version of Ali that he faced.

Mitch Green had fast jab, but he could not move and jab at the same time like Ali lol Ali had magnificent reflexes that Tyson has never seen in an opponent before, Ali also had other things like brilliant footwork, great stamina and the mind games to seriously mess with Tyson before he enters the ring, never mind inside it lol.

In my opinion, Tyson would stop Ali.

I agree. It's not taboo any more to feel that way. Tyson had the tools and style to pull it off.

His performances against Evander Holyfield, Ray Mercer, Oliver Mccall showed he was a lot better fighter than given Credit for from 1985 onwards. Tyson is the only one to KO him bad in his entire career and that is very significant.

Of course you know Galv that this Tyson you are describing is a fantasy right. The real Tyson was a weak minded and hearted bully punk (((probably much like yourself))) who had a prime against fat lazy leftovers from Holmes era and NEVER won a tough fight against even a very good opponent. Lewis proved what a joke Rudduck was. Ali would LITERALLY have Mikey crying and lisping his way to a breakdown mentally. Tyson was a punk boy. Face it. Like most street trash, when up against it alone and evenly matched he turned puzzy EVERY FCUKIN TIME. You nuthuggers just won't admit it, but you know what? You cant lie to yourself and you KNOW he' s not a ll you hope him

Prime for prime Ali/Clay has Tysons number, Tyson strong in the arm but weak in the head, and when the going gets tough Ali again had the 'testicular fortitude' to triumph, Ali was never a quitter.

But Joe Frazier and Ken Norton could. Both guys are inferior offensively and defensively to Tyson. But Tyson stands absolutely no chance at beating Ali?

I need to take a break from this place. People need to pass an IQ test before posting here. I'm serious!

Ali would beat Tyson before the ring because he was Obi Wan Kenobi in real life. He was a wizard who studied the Talmud and made deals with demons to warp Tyson's mind during the pre fight hype.

I swear if I see one more comment about Ali beating Tyson before the ring...:headbash

The only number Clay would have is Tyson's phone number where he would call begging him to take it easy on his hero in the ring.

Maybe, maybe not. Don't try to tell me Holmes was remotely like he'd been a handful of years prior tho.

Categorically stating he could not beat Tyson is absurd to say the least, absolutely ridiculous.

Green as fast as Ali? You need to step away from the keyboard.
