Nah, im not bashing you. Im already sold on the undercard alone, but Ill make my decision about the main event based on styles and not by intangibles.

Im a huge Cotto fan but this is a load of biased bull****

Wasnt Pac seen as invincible when he fought Cotto? so chalk up a loss on that mythical record, and name these other so called "invincible" men Cotto has fought because I cant figure out who the **** your talking about

As for Floyd only having fought 4 rounds since when does that matter? Floyd is a Gym rat and looked fantastic coming off a 2 year layoff against JMM, a year layoff vs Mosley and a year layoff vs Ortiz

Floyd will have no trouble making the JMW limit against someone like Cotto, theyll both be comfortable walking around at that weight

Floyd is a month away from going to jail but its not like its a lengthy sentence, compared to most fighters who have gone to jail this is just another vacation for Money, he will be in a jail where people get sent when they dont pay their ****ing parking tickets

In this fight Cotto is going to be coming forward but hes not going to be incredibly active, when your fighting a guy like Mayweather you dont just go rushing in forward, you have to apply intelligent pressure. Its going to be close at time but there is no other logical conclusion other than a Mayweather UD

Ignore the clowns banging on about you selling the fight bro...you made some good posts in your original post. If it was any other fighter than Mayweather, i think it'd be a serious concern but the way he trains and his general conditoning should make sure his inactivity doesn't affect him too much

    What's with the foul language?

Invincible men is another name for an undefeated fighter. It's a play on what Diaz said on Mayweather's show.

Sugar Ray Leonard looked fantastic after a few long layoffs. Then he took long layoff before fighting Terry Norris, and got his ass handed to him. Look, maybe Mayweather is such a special athlete and so focused and dedicated that it won't matter. Then again, maybe it will. I think it's worth mentioning; unless you're going to tell me that long layoffs don't generally negatively affect athletes.

How come Martinez can't fight at SMW? Going up in weight is not always easy. How many guys are fighting above their walking around weight?

Mayweather is going to prison. How many days have you spent in jail? I'm not sure how it can be seen as a vacation.

That might very well be what happens. I'm just providing some food for thought. Age, weight, activity, and outside distractions, are factors that are brought up in regards to many fights. Some guys can't even perform if they don't have their lucky socks.

All these things will have a negative impact on him sooner or later

More concerned about him post jail than pre though

All of these things are factors, the biggest reason you're getting the backlash, is because they don't want to have any reason to give PBF any credit, simple as that. His age is an issue, inactivity is an issue, and when fighting a fighter the caliber of Cotto they COULD culminate into something of a concern.

you guys already tried the inactivity issue for the jmm fight. he is 35 but his style is suited for longevity and rarely in wars. he took long vacations in between fights to replenish his body and this is according to floyd himself.

First I've heard of that excuse. Mind you, I wasn't around following the sport properly back when that happened.

I'm 24. But I'm not an exceptional athlete like Mayweather. You only need to look at his performances in the ring to know he hasn't shown any serious signs of slowing down, and that his stamina is better than most. When have we ever seen him tire in a fight? He's very efficient with how much energy he expends. I doubt all of that will change overnight.

Not to mention, Cotto is 32 himself. Not that far off from Floyd. And considering the ring wars and the brutal beatings he's taken, he's far more shopworn and removed from his physical prime.

I know because I saw him come off an 18 month lay-off and barely break a sweat in his fight with JMM. And then, after another 14 months, he still looked as sharp as ever against Ortiz. Granted, we only had four rounds to go by, but, you and I both know he was on his way to winning another comfortable decision against a young 24 year old who would have gassed way before he would have.

Real JMWs don't put in a cheeky request to try and make a JMW bout take place at 150 :)lol:), only to then settle for 153.

I'm not denying those things are the case. I'm just saying they mean very little, and that you should stop pretending like they'll be playing an influence on the night.

No. Unlike Tree, Cotto will fight instead of trying to get to second base with Floyd.

I'm disappointed in you BigReg. You made an obvious mistake in your logic in this post.

About the same as the Rios/Abril odds, and closer than the Marquez/Pacquiao III odds.
