Some things to remember about Mayweather come fight night

Cotto has shared the ring with some Killers... Pacquiao, Margarito, Clottey... Floyd can't do nothing to him! Floyd is in deep ****, he better fake an injury because Cotto is gonna slump his ass!

 

Very entertaining scrap. I love when the crowd gets all excited over punches that are little more than glancing blows or missing completely. Why did Ortiz have to implement the leaping headbutt? atsch

 

It's still not a simple task, the thread started has very good points, especially the psychological aspects going in to this fight.

Cotto has experience, power and is there to do everything he can to win. That kind of opponent is always dangerous. Not to forget that his style WON'T be an easy one for Mayweather to crack through. What discomforts Cotto's style is KO power and Mayweather isn't exactly a puncher, so expect to see Cotto very comfortable in there.

 

Clottey and Concheato aren't killers. If anything, Clottey is a joke. Clottey could have won the fight with Cotto had he followed up after he got him hurt, but being Clottey he would pull back(Dawson style) when he has a man hurt. Clottey is frustrating as hell to watch, pretty much like Dawson. Though he's definitely a good opponent.

Mosley, Pacquiao, Mayorga, Judah, Torres, Corley and Quintana.

Those are opponents worth mentioning when it comes to Cotto and they are all solid world class opponents.

 

I don't know why Ortiz did that ****... It made me mad because he was in that fight! I guess he got crazy for a second there... It's no excuse, it was wrong. Ortiz was very live in that fight... He wasn't getting schooled like Mosley (Besides the 2nd round) and JMM.. Thats for damn sure!

 

I think you always have to worry about age...i dont care who you are.

I do not think the jail time will be any factor for the simple reason that Floyd if he felt it would be considering he loves that 0 so much would not risk it but he ASKED for the fight right before jail time....so no i dont think he is worried about it right now...maybe after the fight.

I thought he was rusty in the Ortiz fight as well...but he went through a Floyd training camp which is nothing easy then had 4 rounds with Ortiz and now he is right back into training again..its onlybeen about 5 or 6 monghts between his last fight and this fights training camp...i think if anything it helps him come in with a lot more rust worn off....from the previous lay off....this time he didnt have that long a lay off.

With that said i still flip flop with this fight...i now Floyd will win...but i flip flop between a Gatti beat down or a competitive fight.

Ortiz was stiff and overwhelmed from the start. It was so obvious he's overwhelmed and tensed that Mayweather went in flat footed exchanging with him. Ortiz was frustrated and knew he had no chance, which explains the amateurish headbutts.

You have to forgive him. Or her. Pretty sure that's one of Ortiz' lovestruck groupies as slugger is on that dick with pride.

 

Ortiz wasn't landing **** when May was on the ropes which is why he resorted to the head butt. It was the only thing May wasn't defending against. You don't do that stupid **** if you are "in" the fight.
