    Keep this in mind:

Michael Timm Chagaev's trainer used to work with the Klitschko's at The Universum Gym.

Also, watch for that punch Chagaev throws where he basically comes in and slips a punch and throws a left hand hay maker. If he lands one of those what will happen?

I also think cuts will be a factor for BOTH fighters. Chagaev has had an "accidental" headbutt in his last 4 fights.

I think this will be closer than people think.

    Thoughts?

I think that Chagaev looked career's worst last time out against Drummond. I think the second worse performance i've ever seen from him was against Skelton 18 months earlier. I think that circa 2007 Chagaev has a very good chance of making things tougth for Wlad, but what I want to know is, what makes you so sure that Ruslan is close to or at his best, or do you think the guy who was in with Drummond makes it close?

I watched the Drummond fight and thought Chagaev looked bad. It was his first fight back from a layoff with a injury. He had a pretty bad cut in that fight. I give him a pass there because of those two factors.

If Chagaev shows up like he has shown he can fight in the past it will be a competitive fight. I am not saying he will win but just that it will not be the walk over many think it will be.

I also think Chagaev has a chance of landing one of those but I don't think it'll be close if it goes to the cards. I think if Wlad controls the tempo of the fight then it'll be a lop sided decision but Chagaev does have a chance if he can get inside past Wlad's jab.

I agree. I think it's a very competitive fight if Chagaev turns up in top gear, but I think it's a big "if" and the main point.

Due to injury and inactivity, Chagaev is not the fighter who beat Valuev and Ruiz. He looked poor against Skelton and terrible against Drummond. This will be a case of Wlad sending out the jab for 5 or 6 rounds in a boring one sided fight. Chagaev will toil to get inside and will become desperate toward the end of the fight. He will either go for broke or look to survive. At this stage Wlad will catch him and score a late TKO in a Ibragimov snoozefest.

I hope Chagaev can pull off the upset but he's going to get thouroughly outboxed and outclassed tonight.

If Chagaev comes to fight, we will get one that will resemble the Wladimir Mercer fight. If he comes to survive, we get Wladimir Ibragimov all over again. I hope he comes to fight.

Well both being German based I think it will be pretty fair. I know the 3 judges are neutral. I think they have one from England, One from the United States and the other is from Germany.

A KO in this fight for either fighter would be huge. Chagaev has not been KOed ever and Wlad is on a ten fight win streak where basically nobody other than Peter or Brock have given him any issue(s)

Even though I am a Vitali Klitschko fan I am pretty much willing to agree that the winner of this fight is THE Heavyweight Champion.

    :good

    1. Boredom

    2. Late round KO by Kiltschko

Chagaev has more of a will to win than Sultan. He wants to win and won't be content with simply not getting knocked out like Ibragimov. I wish this fight was made a few years ago or Chagaev looked impressive in his last outing because this fight would of been incredible.

How does this fight not give us clarity? Both are top 3 Heavyweights.

Let me guess a Haye fight would have provided clarity?:rofl:patsch
