Unfortunately, I did not yet get to see last night's card. Did Forrest and Tarver look impressive? Thoughts?
Forrest look very impressive. He totally outclassed his class B opponent. Perfect description of what is "schooling". Tarver looks like **** in beating his class C opponent. His movements seems to be in "slow mo". That fight was a complete joke.
I've believed this for sometime. After seeing Forrest's previous fight, no sure I'd have agreed with this. Did you see somehing last night indicating Forrest is looking worse again?
Tarver is done, Forrest is in his second child hood. He has good year to make a run, he better line up some good names.
Mayorga didn't spank Forrest in the second fight. The HBO commentary was very bad, also Compu Box was way off on that fight. Example through 4 rounds Compu box had Mayorga landing 40 something power shots. Yet Tivo ing the fight. Mayorga hadn't landed 20 clean punches period through 4 rounds. Sure Forrest looked akward moving akwardly defensively and avoiding Mayorga's wild swings, but he outlanded Mayorga in clean actual punches landed in most rounds. I had it 8 to 4 for Forrest. If Forrest is healthy enough, and he seems to be, to fight like he did in the second fight but just look much more fluid he beats Mayorga. Tarver looked like pure crap. I was disgusted that he was even on the televised portion of the card being that he was fighting a grocery store bagger.
