Money can make things happen, though he seems content and satisfied with his career.

No way, he would get beaten by Klitschko - though, he won the first encounter, he can't get back into shape to beat Klitschko - it's about desire, not skill and Klitschko has the biggest desire (along with Forman) to make the impossible possible...

i doubt it. 5 years away and he looks pretty jolly these days. he retired at the perfect time. it would be a huge mistake imo.

He is too old and has been gone too long. He hasnt kept himself in shape like Vitaly has. You can see he has gained a lot of weight.

Have you seen him lately? He got fat, he is grossly out of shape. It would be a stupid move, he would get owned and it would tarnish his legacy. He made a wise choice to retire at the right time, he should and will stay retired.

sYeah. I am a lifetime Lewis fan, and have no qualms about how Lewis won the first fight. A win is a win, and the man had every right to retire if the fire wan't in him ant more.

But I am looking at it from this angle- another one bites the dust. I think a lot of people knew that Peter was a bit of a fraud, but hell, at least he was good for a Wladdy rematch. We all know that Chagaev is on his way out with VitKilteseque problems, Virchis retired before he got started, and the young guns, Solis, Dimentrenko, Boytsov, have really done nothing to distinsuish themselves. Who knows if Haye will pan out or not, and while I am a Povetkin fan, a lot of people are questioning him too.

And we all know that the Kilts are not going to fight each other.

If Vit can get this reamtch and settle a few other old scores- Maskaev, Rahmen, while Wladdy unifes the WBA belt and continues to take on the...er...for lack of a better word, best of what is out there, the divison might acutally be watchable for awhile.

If Vitaly holds the belt hostage while Wladdy continues to make his two mandatories a year, we are in a lot of trouble.

Got **** all to do with him being fat or bored, hes a champion who knows he cant/couldnt perform like he could so he quit, like many others should have.

Oh jesus here we go with the "Klitschko retired Lewis" gaga.

Lewis retired because he simply didn't care anymore and got his money. I mean...look at the state of his face! Those cheeks tell how much he's enjoying retirement.

Please read post ten in which I claify my lifetime support of Lennox, and my beleif that he won the fight fair and square and deserved his retirement.

I am not even so sure that Vitali would win a rematch.

My deal wasn't with you...it's with the resurgence that Lewis quit because he feared a rematch with Vitali. The guy stopped caring at/around the Rahman fights.

Well, scar tissue does not heal into anything other than scar tissue. If Lewis can even get himself into decent shape, I don't see why he couldn't jab it apart and win the same way.

Or, Maybe Vit would knock him out this time. I am just saying, It think with a couple of tune up fights, it would still be competitve.
