I've never understood it. Hatton's a pretty class guy, wants to be in with the best, and has been in more than a few exciting fights.
What is this decline they keep talking about? I thought he looked pretty good, considering his last fight was 6 months ago at 147 and he was coming off a KO loss. He definitely looked like he could take on anyone at 140
for me hatton's fans pump him up to be so great that he will always look bad in comparison. i feel he didn't look great tonight but won the fight no question. i do feel like he learned nothing from his fight with PBF. he got hit by way to many left hooks and was hurt by a couple of them.
I think his chin is a bit suspect. For a guy with no head movement coming straight in that could be a problem. As far as hate goes, I don't get it. Probably a nationalistic thing.
:good Hatton's been hurt plenty of times before, he was on the floor against Magee back in the day for christs sake, I don't understand why he's getting so much hate after that performance, which overall was a pretty good and quite entertaining display IMO.
i can see why people like him but i am a Floyd fan and Hatton made the wrong move by calling him out. not just called him out but ran his mouth. i always said that he wasnt ready for a fighter like Mayweather and look what happened then and look at Hatton now. today he didnt look very good at all against a TUNE UP. he showed that his confidence isnt what it was and that his chin is weakening. he took way better punches from Floyd(minus the hook), Urango and Collazo without getting in so much trouble. now he drops his hands when he takes a good shot and is another knockout waiting to happen if he tries to step up again. personally he is a very likeable guy and that Fatton intro he pulled was funny as hell but as a fighter hes overrated, he didnt deserve to be in the top 10 pfp when he fought Mayweather and he doesnt deserve to be in the top 15 today. also, he proved today that his excuses about Cortez and fighting at 147 against Floyd were just that, excuses.
He is: - Not American - Too white - Has an IQ of more than 80 - Can speak to the public without saying "you know", "um", "uh" and "duh" - Does not have a home boy (buddy) who raps
For me, it's not that I dislike Hatton. I actually think he seems to have a great personality. I wish more fighters had that type of personality. He's very humble it seems. I just dont think he's a great fighter. He's a bit overrated to me, that's all. Aside from that, i'm sure he's a great guy. No hate here.
Hatton's a likeable guy with a unique fighting style which is not everyone's cup of tea. Not a fan but certainly not a hater.
I suggest you go read the thread "why Hatton doesnt deserve your support". Written by a Brit who can expalin it very well.
I must read this and get educated perhaps? This place breeds people who think they are superior (intellectually, morally, etc.) than the rest of us and therefore feel the need to make decisions for us, or at the very least re-educate us so we realise that our own choices (if not the same as theirs) are fundamentally wrong/flawed. They mock those, who do not agree with them, as being inexperienced, simple or stupid. It's no different to schoolyard bullying and people shouldn't feel embarassed to stand up in disagreement.
Lewis, DHL, Wald, DM, Pretty Boy, and now Hatton. All hated.... A couple didn't act like loudmouthed brainless fools, Lewis and DHL, some are the wrong skin color, and one got knocked about and wasn't god..but is ow still the best heavy....DM breathed and by breathing made God Jones the lesser man that he was. Jingoism... all parts of irrational hate. Hate is easy, for the brainless.
