these are both nothing more than tune ups really, the fact they've been wrangled into title affairs is just strings pulled by Top Rank.
are people really going to pay the coin for this?
i'm a huge fan of both marquez and rios but feel a little underwhelmed by this show. i would rather see them both fight each other at 135 or 140.

It is stupid, they should have made it free for all to set up a jmm vs rios fight on ppv in the summer.

because the networks are not going to air this show when more families could be watching x -men instead.

the few that actually want to see this fight ; can order it.

Because HBO didn't want to pay fro Rios vs Abril, they wanted a better opponent.

I don't like it this being on PPV...But being that both Marquez and Rios are my 1st and 2nd current favorite fighters, i will most likely order this.

This. I wish more Boxing fans would learn how the networks influence the fights we see. They can decide who gets what spot and if an opponent is good enough or not. Depends on who is the exec in charge at the time and lately with a lot of the cards like Showtime, you can see how a manager/promoter can influence **** if they're in with the network head. Notice how so many Al Haymon fighters have been on Showtime lately? They passed over Froch-Bute though. ****'s sake.
