    I appreciate the idea of Super Champion in that you would have extra time to defend against their mandatories, but putting a regular champion in below? Get ****ed.

    This is exactly the reason the world title's in most cases have to be ignored , specially the WBA

    Chris John for me is still the #1 FW in the world , but he has to fight some names pretty soon , Gamboa and Juanma will be leaving FW very soon , but there's tremendous strength in depth coming through and the FW division in 18 months will be the best division in world boxing , if it isnt already (rivalled by BW)

    It's a shame that John never really built on the Marquez win, and has instead been on a largely safe route ever since.

    I always thought that the ''super champion'' had a time frame to fight the ''regular champion'', and that was the whole point of it, or has that gone out of the window too?

    In a board meeting they're discussing mandating the supers to fight the regulars, when some bright spark pops up and says ''why don't we just create as many titles and eliminators as possible, the worst people can do is refuse to pay the fees''.

    An old man strokes his beard and says ''why didn't I ever think of that?'' ''The fact that people don't care that there's four world champions means we can surely make a few quid extra by having four of our own''.

    ''Right, that's settled. The next item on the agenda is how to get away with breaking our own rules without ending up in court''

    ''Erm.... just change them''.

    When was the last time a WBA "Super champion" defended against "Regular" or "Interim" champions?

    Not including Gamboa, because well, **** knows what he was.

    Sort of on topic, but I have seen on Boxrec that Gamboa is slated to fight Juarez next. Say it ain't so...:-(
