I making out like I deserve respect? How am I doing that? I'm not a journalist and I've never claimed to be one, I'm just an average bloke who likes boxing. All I'm saying is I didn't deserve to be sworn at and called a fantasist by a bloke I previously looked up too all because I asked him a question.

And to be honest, I wouldn't want free passes to shows, flights around the world and interviews with fighters if it meant I had to suck a promoter's arse like the way he does. If I was lucky enough to get all that I'd only want it by doing things the proper way, not by being a promoter's mouthpiece to push his shite, rip-off cards and his overhyped fighters. I'd value my integrity.

I'd get obliterated by him? I'm not the bloke who wrote a racist article about Muhammed Ali running down his accomplishments, laughed at a cancer victim and got threatened by Bernard Hopkins all because I'm a *****.

 

Using language like that on a live phone in show is the reason the shows end up being pre-recorded instead of live.

I don't want to be a boxing journalist, that's not my goal in life. It sounds like a boss job but it's not what I want. I'm happy to stay a fan. Anyone who brown noses their way into their job doesn't have integrity and I value you mine. That's why Bunce has got his BoxNation gig, by sucking FW's arse and sticking up for his fighters. In the old days with Setanta he was a top pundit, now though he's just become a sad joke who'll say anything about anyone if he thinks his bosses will like it.

Paulie, I know you have genuine dislike for Buncey, but surely as someone who is trying hard to get their podcasts up and going and making a genuine attempt to make inroads to reporting on boxing you'd agree that that sort of thing is cowardly and will not help to get fan involvement more commonplace on TV?

 

Yeah you're right. It's just I have a hard time feeling sorry for Bunce because I dislike him so much. That bloke who rang up though should have stayed on the line instead of just hanging up like little girl, made himself look even more stupid. Like I said though, let it drop now because no one seriously cares, do they?

 

What a nob, he had a chance to actually challenge Bunce on some of the things he disagrees with, which could have made for good viewing, and would have actually bothered Steve. Instead he calls him a **** and hangs up, that's hilarious... if you're 13 years old :-(

I have also noticed illiterates on here who do not realise that the first letter of a name should be a capital letter - i.e. 'richard' should be 'Richard' :think I wonder why that is, damn these 'illiterates'.

by all means if somebody went on the show and schooled bunce on his biased punditry or lack of knowledge in some areas, but just calling someone a **** it pointless.
