Film the anticipation of post Cotto vs Pac.

Film about the negotiations from both camps.

Film about all the pre-fight and everything up to the fight.

It could be pretty remarkable seeing the contrast from Floyd fans to Pac fans, from Floyd to Pac - and the attention and anticipation and trash-talking from both all sides (Camps, fighters, fans, promoters, etc).

Seeing as the fight is has been green-lit to tried being signed by HBO (I believe). And seeing as negotiations are apparently going to be under way, I think someone needs to get the ball rolling for this documentary to exist.

I only say this as not only a huge boxing fan but film fan. I could see this as a great documentary to make. One undefeated fighter, one fighter clearly taking names and being the #1 P4P fighter. Floyd being the #2 P4P fighter claiming to the best. It could be epic.

    What do you guys think?

I would love to be the one behind the camera to film and edit this. That would be a dream too haha.

I know some will think a 24/7 is just good enough, but try to expand your minds. If they can make a documentary with the footage of Ali vs Foreman, Ali vs Holmes, etc then I think they should think to make a documentary about this fight. It could be one of the biggest fights in years for boxing.

Yeah, would be great. Over here in Germany we got nothing from the 24/7s. Sadly, watching it afterwards isn´t the same.

The 24/7 'documentaries' are the most insulting manipulation of a specific audience since the days of Leni Riefenstahl.

    It has potential I think.

  6. Absolutely - guys who're not even boxing fans are talking about this fight - this has serious potential to be one of the biggest fights of all time. Let's take that potential and make it a definite.

I don't get the hate for 24/7. Obviously they are not clinical documentaries but an exercise in hype and build-up, inventing obstacles like it's a romantic comedy motion picture and casting villains and heroes where there are none.

But the production values are top-notch, it does build excitement and in-between the manipulations you do get to be a fly-on-the-wall during the preparation for world-title prizefights. Imagine being in camp with Jake Lamotta training to beat Sugar Ray, being witness to Monzon's personality or seeing if Ali was as brazen when alone in his dressing room moments before he went on to beat George Foreman.

Well, fifty years from now, they won't have to wonder. We've got it all on tape. It amuses me that even when that is so, the truth will still be distorted as if nothing has changed from the days of rumours and stories passed down from grandfather to grandson.

I love 24/7. In fact, basically I'm thinking here of asking for more. Not just to hear about training or Freddie Roach's thought. But from everyone's mind and thoughts through negotiations, anticipation, training, etc. I'm thinking of a documentary would be huge if this were to actually happen. I'm basically just looking to expand on 24/7.
