Firstly, it's current. It's a FOTY contender, so if your friend likes it then they can can root for it and be rewarded for enjoying one of the best fights of the year.

Secondly, it gives examples of what a warrior is, what "styles makes fights" means and how expectations and predictions can be totally upturned.

Thirdly, it's a great example of sportsmanship and respect: tapping of gloves most rounds and a good hug at the start of the 12th (I love that ****)

Finally, I'd fill him/her in on the context of the fight (controversial win over Pacquiao, supposed to be a tune up etc.)

 

i'd go for something fairly modern.

Maybe Cotto vs Margo

Or Marquez vs Diaz.

 

Also this Facebook page has a good range of boxing fights and is good for inspiration. Gets updated nearly every day with a couple of new ones too.

I'd go with Holyfield vs Bowe 1 though.
