Remind me why Parker is better than Ortiz:
    1. The best win by either of them is Ortiz’s win over Jennings. Parker’s win over Takam was a struggle against a worse opponent
    3. The rest of Parker’s resume (namely Ruiz) is a little better than Ortiz’s, but Ortiz struggled with nobody, while Parker had several close fights.
    4. Both were disciplined, undefeated, durable, big guys. One of them had fight changing power.
    5. Ortiz is a southpaw.

Your username is AyJay, will it really matter what any of us say? It's not like you're going to be easily swayed.

No way. Nobody wants to get the ring with Ortiz, especially before the Wilder fight.

Parker ****ing barely won all his “top fights” against the likes of Ruiz, Hughie, and Takam.

He struggled with the fearsome Cojanu...

And a MD against Ruiz? Holy ****. Who’s Ruiz’s best win? Hahaha. Liakhovich maybe? Christ.

If Parker had beaten all those guys super convincingly, then you could have an argument, but he didn’t.

I’m not calling Parker a bum. He isn’t. But he’s still very flawed. Frankly, it’s amazing to me he held his belt for so long.

Furthermore, AJ absolutely did not dominate Parker. AJ barely won and plenty of figures I respect had it as a draw or worse.

And Wilder is a pure knockout artist. He literally doesn’t even try to outbox anyone, so saying he got outboxed means nothing.

Yes, AJ answered questions about his stamina (personally I haven’t questioned his stamina in ages, but whatever). Well, Wilder answered questions about his chin and heart.

Anyway. Both fights were fairly close really.

And you’re going to call 38 year old Ortiz old and shot?

What would you call a 41 year old Wlad? A prime specimen?

    Get ****ed.

Simple! Parker made AJ fight a different fight than normal by just moving and jabbing. AJ could not really close the gap and land anything significant. Let me remind you, Parker was a lot shorter in stature and arm reach. Wilder on the other hand is far more athletic, packs way more dynamite in his punches, faster and doesn't give up any height or reach. So some are of the opinion, if Parker can nullify AJ's offense with a short jab and a little lateral movement, then Wilder will give him absolute hell.

Lol you mean the same ay AJ fought a 41 year old timid Wlad and a fat Joseph Parker in a boring fight and people think AJ is a legend. Joseph Parker resume is better than Wilder's now? Since when? Since sad little Anthony Joshua fans want to believe it? Wilder has yet to face anybody but dumb Brits will bash him for doing it. AJ has yet to face anybody but he gets praised. Well those same dumb Brits also think Tyson Fury is a legend because he ran from a 40 year old Wlad in the most boring heavyweight title fight in history. So what more should be expect from the Brits?

WTF did that rant have to do with anything I posted.

    But as a rebuttal....

    He passed on Povetkin.
He was given an HBO date and Boxino HW Champ, Andrej Fedosov, accepted 105k offer from GBP for that date.
Ortiz refused and GBP got Thompson at 2X the cost.
Miller wanted him, as did Antonio Tarver, Ustinov and Amir Monsour.

As for Wlad and Fury....both were constantly making fights against more established HWs

Because people are silly and only care about knockouts.

I’m saying Joshua did not earn the better W.

Miller is a protected fighter so that’s doubtful and Ustinov didn’t want it. The others aren’t serious contenders.

British Boxing is so bad. It’s painful to see all these stupid threads about garbage fighters. Let’s just let Wilder KO AJ and be done with all this stupidity already.

I'm no fan of Miller's but nobody is protecting him.
    Ustinov ABSOLUTELY WANTED IT.
As did Fedosov who was beating Jennings before the hematoma caused the stoppage, and was training with Wilder getting ready for the Ortiz fight.

I know Ortiz has his gifts. It's undeniable. But the cloud over his head from several failed roids tests and "ducking" durable heavy handed brawler types like Ustinov, Miller, Povetkin and Fedosov only gives me more evidence that he is packing GLASS.

Scott, Jennings, 45 y/o SP Tiger, 208lb Koyode..... not a threat among the lot of em

You sure Ustinov wasn’t trying to weasel a title shot out of skipping VADA testing?

Fedosov was down on all cards btw

You sure you're not generalizing the opinion of a few and exaggerating because they disagree? Haven't been here in a bit but that's typically how it goes.

Fedo was up 4/2 by most.

    Ustinov has not tested dirty.
