It might not define boxing right in the long run, but it defines boxing RIGHT NOW! THIS IS THE ****ING SUPERBOWL!

  2. The politics stop once the fighters get in the ring. While Money and Pacman are the biggest names in the sport, the sport doesn't end and begin with those guys. If that fight never happens it will be a damn shame for sure, but the true fight fan still has the rest of the Super 6, the 140 lb. division, the 122 lb. division, and Pongsaklek Wonjangkim to be excited about!

I anit playing. Boxing would be better right now if these two weren't expected to fight one another.

The problems with boxing are bigger than Pacquiao and Mayweather but I could totally understand some people dropping boxing if the Pacquiao and Mayweather negotiations fail.

This fight has so much meaning...I can't help but think that the people not acknowledging this are in a state of denial...

I have no problem with that part...it's when you went off on a tangent quietly criticizing and mocking the Filipino.

You're not a true fan of boxing. Just ****ing period, that's all there is to it. Pacquiao and Mayweather are great fighters, but there have been better fighters before them and there will be better fighters after them. Their will be great fights and great fighters to come. To forsake the sport entirely, from the hundreds of years of history, the hundreds of great fights out there that you've probably never seen, to all of the great fights to come because two fighters out of thousands never fought, because one fight didn't happen? It's absolutely indefensible. I would go so far to say that not only would you not be a true fan of boxing, but anybody even voting that they understand is also not a true fan of boxing. All of you people disgust me. The sport will be better off without you ****ing babies. Go ****ing cry to all you friends because Maywather and Pacquiao never fought, while in ten years I'll be enjoying the work of the new P4P numbers 1 and 2 and you'll be watching basketball or some other ***gity non-sport and playing fantasy football. This thread infuriates me. You infuriate me for starting it, and all of the filthy ****s that vote for options two or three infuriate me. Go **** yourselves.

Floyd's my favorite fighter but life goes on. After jordan retired, i didn't stop watching basketball.

  10. 2nd option. I love boxing, but if this fight fails to get made AGAIN, it is just a quintessential example of what hurts the sport more than anything. The fighters have too much say in who they fight.

It's a huge fight. It would be disappointing....but to turn my back on Boxing because of it? I've said it once and I'll say it again, Boxing is bigger than any fighter, any one fight, any one event, and it's one of the reasons I enjoy this otherwise cruel world. Hate to be dramatic, but Boxing is here to stay...I won't shed a tear when either Manny or Floyd leave the sport. Onto the next.
