He was afraid of the counters.

Wasn't anything fishy. Wlad needed to be able to fight inside. He can't and that;s why he lost.

He wasn't afraid. His own style was the problem and he got outboxed.

It didn't look too easy, it was too easy. Fury toyed with him and a rematch will be worse.

Wlad simply couldn't lock on to Fury, due to the latter's movement, from start to finish. Wlad has always had a limited armoury.

Remove that and you see a seemingly reluctant Wlad when, in fact, it was more a case of couldn't, rather than wouldn't.

I like how people are already writing off Wlad in the rematch. Fury is not Ali despite his boasts, he didn't KO Wlad like Ali did Liston. The old champ was fresher at the end, remember that?

He showed nothing tonight that tells us that he would handle Fury the next time around. Fury was literally clowning him during some of those rounds. Doing the 2 hand behind the back Roy Jones thing, keeping his hands low like Martinez and Wlad had no answer. None. He was getting clipped all night long.

Nothing fishy. He got outboxed and outsmarted. Maybe complacency was a bit too high in Wlad's camp.

Wlad looked ****ed af when Fury was singing, I think he's disappointed in himself and will try to bounce back. Nothing fishy. Defeat tastes like crow right now for the Klitschko camp.

Another Fury doubter tries to find comfort in " ifs, buts, and maybes ".

Wlad's style is cautious to the point of his own detriment in the right circumstances. Despite his skills, he rarely throws a counterpunch because he's always worried about his chin, so if the opponent gives him movement and is active like Fury(and critically in Fury's case, can always reach Wlad). This mentality coupled with his inability to fight inside plus his low workrate style in general and you get what you saw where Wlad didn't pull the trigger much at all.

Wlad doesn't adapt during a fight and never has. It's not in him to go for broke if he's down in a fight. He's a disciplined fighter, technically skilled, but mentally he's a bit fragile. It's just rare that he's put in the situation where that matters.

20 years of boxing and he doesn't know how to throw a body punch in a clinch?

Wlad deserved to lose, and Fury deserved to win. End of story.
