In most cases when the guy knocks somebody down, he either steps on them during the walk to the neutral corner or he gives them a slight nudge in some way. Look at the Calvin Brock KO....he steps on Brock's foot. In the Rahman fight, 1st knockdown, he kicks his foot on the way to the corner. Is this a psychological tactic? I wonder what CHEF thinks.
i pointed this out years ago to Charles Shufford before the two boxed at Mandalay Bay, you are very observent... Lo and behold , when he knocked Charles down he stepped on him as he was falling.. He is a dirty ******* when he wanted to be... Lennox was a filthy ******* too when he wanted to be, and so was Holyfield, Most all of the champs are or were deep to the bone filthy in some way.. Akinwande had his ****in elbows and forearms , so did Tyson, Vander had his lil head touch thing and Lewis had quick headlocks and shoulder bumps when he felt the need...
It could just be swagger/arrogance and he doesn't even know it. Most fighters have little quirks like that.
You're right, Bigcat. Most of the fighters have their own special behaviors like these. I just think that Wladimir's seems more blatant. Maybe it's because Vitali does not do this.
The shortest left hook in heavyweight history was the left hook that Vlad knocked Shufford out with, awesome!!!!!!! Vlad keeps beating all the heavyweights and so will Vitali!!!!!!!
To be quite honest I've never really noticed it but there's a solution: don't get knocked down by him. They're not exactly playing nice in there. All boxers have a mean streak in them whether they admit it or not. Donny Lalonde was a nice guy who didn't want to hurt his opponents but that didn't stop him from knocking guys out. Truth be told, you'll find that the most successful fighters have their questionable moments. You almost have to have that sheer nastiness in you to ascend to the top.
Vlad has heavy hands, quick as Hell with lots of experience. He keeps on cleaning out the heavyweight division.
Sometimes, he takes out his dick and pisses on them. It's pretty sneaky and hard to see, but it happens.
