Floyd Sr claims he hasnt heard from Little Floyd and doesnt agree with what he's doing. He also stated that it'll all come out in his upcoming book.

Jeff Mayweather said that he was part of the initial negotiations that Arum and King were trying to put together for a fight between Floyd Jr and Pac, but for whatever reasons he stated that he pulled himself out of the picture for

    Hmmm... What can it be?

Floyd needs to box again. It's obvious he needs boxing. His life gets out of control without it.

I don't understand why he doesn't fight more often.

I refuse to believe that a pro boxer is a coward, but maybe he just doesn't enjoy it anymore. Which I could buy, it doesn't seem to me that he ever had a choice.

I think maybe they don't trust King. It seems he's going to be a big part of the negotiations.

Another reason might by Jeff pulled out because he didn't think it was worth it or didn't see a role really since he's more distant from the bunch, and I could see maybe Floyd Sr. wanting to train Floyd for this one. He's said before he doesn't need to train Jr. to be satisfied with their relationship but maybe that changed with the chance at his biggest fight and payday ever.

But more likely, I'd suspect they are suspicious of King or people surrounding the negotiation on Floyd's part. Sr.'s comments may also relate to his behavior outside of the ring.

Its hard to stay hungry when you're a multi millionaire. Floyd only gets the urge to fight when his funds are running low. Take a safe fight and make $20+ mil in the process. Rinse and repeat.

Floyd lost his "groove," so to speak, when Pacquiao took over his #1 P4P spot in the world. I think Team Mayweather felt they would be able to outmaneuver Pac in the public arena and that hasn't happened.

Floyd is aging. He's lost his "spot" to Pac. Legal troubles are still ahead. Lawsuit with Pac is going forward. There may never be a Pac fight, which means Floyd can't ever regain his "spot" in the public's mind.

I think you may be starting to see the strains of reality beginning to wear on Team Floyd. In this context, the desperation move to possibly fight Spaddy in July would make sense.
