He looked anticipative and nervous as hell when he was waiting to walk out, after that he was stone-faced. Either he's a really good actor, or he's not bothered by the spot-light.
I agree. It's a huge fight and his legacy. I also think he will retire at the end of the year. Seems a bit burned out.
I think Floyd was a little ****ed!! Heres why. Pac appeared to be doing endorsements during the weigh in .. One for Recesses butter finger peanut butter cups and the other for the Bottled water he seemed to pose for as he was drinking.
Floyds focused while manny is distracted by the crowd and glamour of the moment. Dude needs to wake up.
manny normally acts like this.. he definitely seems more hyped and exited than usual. i mean, i've never seen him smile so much during a weigh-in. he thinks he's already won the fight. Heck, he thanked Mayweather in advance during the face off. Gotta be careful though...Floyd doesn't look scared to me. He looks dangerous.
Lol I'm a Pac fan, but Mayweather is getting paid 200million, those endorsements are nickel and dimes to him.
My gf said something very interesting yesterday during the weigh in. Shes a casual fan and not very knowledgeable about the sport but shes excited for the fight. I told her how most of the trash talking has come from mannys trainer and while manny hasnt talked trash he has made some comments while floyd has been unusually quiet. I also told her that the general consensus is Floyd looked nervous at the weigh in. Her opinion was quite surprising and pretty interesting. She made two interesting points. 1. She says that Floyd not talking trash before the fight could be that for the first time in a long time he sees an opponent that he could possibly lose too and hes doesnt want to look like a tool talking **** and then get beat and embarrassed and clowned for not backing up the **** he talked. She then said that he is definitely having some type of doubts or fear and thats what people are picking up on at the weigh in. She feels floyd is a bit intimidated and hes trying to project that back at manny while at the same time trying to hide his fear. She said thats why during the face off Floyd appeared to move very robotic and deliberately to try to disguise his true feelings of fear and to try to look as intimidating and as big as possible hence the face off with clothes on. She even pointed out how floyds hat was turned up to make him look even taller. While im not reading much if anything into all the body language and face off like she and pretty much everyone here is doing i do think she made some interesting observations. my personal opinion is her and everyone elses take away dont mean squat! The minute the punches start flying we`ll find out who is or isnt scared.
Floyd looked overtrained, although I know he has been to too many big fights to allow this to happen.
My best friend and dad who don't watch boxing often said similar things. My dad said Floyd looks uncomfortable and out of his element. (He doesn't watch ton of other fights, just a lot of Floyd's fights.) My best friend who watches 0 boxing said Floyd looked annoyed and bothered. For me, Manny surprised me more. I've never seen him so excited and confident. He even told Mayweather "Thank you" during the face-off. He was eating chocolate bars, throwing up victory signs, almost shoving all the love and adoration in Floyd's face. Floyd looked annoyed by it.
Floyd is probly acting to sell the maximum amount of PPV's. Same as he did in the original press conference. Him and his team have developed the perfect villain character because just about anybody could find something to hate about him.
"After he peered into Mayweather's eyes at Wednesday's news conference, Pacquiao told friends Friday, "I saw a man with a lot of worries." -LA TIMES
