I dont think Emmanuel wants another beating by Marquez and Bob is telling him he will only offer him 50 bucks for fighting Bradley because no one wants to see that crap. Emmanuel needs the dollar, so ultimately Arum will get what he wants or Emmanuel wont have any poke in his pocket Manny needs to remember that Bob works for him. Just threaten to retire and make money from after dinner speeches and politics and I bet Arum comes to a compromise. For a politician he sure gets pushed around easily.
Yup....but that IF Chavez wins. We may never see Alvarez vs Chavez either because Arum would have to deal with Golden Boy. Arum is 80 years old and does not have a lot of time left....He is no longer trying to build something but rather just have fun.
He is fighting Marquez next for big money, atleast more than what he made against Bradley. Arum is probably now setting him up for Mayweather in the Spring of 2013 Although its not 100 percent that Floyd will "feel like fighting" We all know Floyd's mood blows where the wind goes, he is unpredictable. This is all really up to Floyd because Manny will be fighting SOMEONE in May/June 2013 (as he has in the past year after year)
Floyd doesn't play the Arum games and float names around to generate interest and gauge fan reaction. Mosley, Ortiz, Cotto were all pretty closely guarded until it was either announced or close to being announced. The only recent times Floyd was vocal about who he planned on fighting were the two times he tried to make the Pacquiao fight; December 2009 and this past January when he was looking to secure an opponent for the May 5 fight. Too bad Pacquiao's cut wasn't healed and the stadium wasn't built.
Just thinking like a sales/marketing guy (which I am): Neither of the options on the table (JMM 4, Bradley 2) generate a huge PPV. Cotto was his best paycheck, but he played the catch weight game one too many times and it came back to bite him. Perhaps he goes off the radar and fights Kell Brook. It would still sell as many buys in the States as Bradley did, but pick up tons of buys in the UK. The only other viable option I see is Devon Alexander.
Wow..these videos pretty much put that other poster to shame. He should just leave the forum now.:rofl
:rofl:rofl:rofl:good I thouth Roach and Arum advised Floyd to fight Shane in May 2010 and they would fight Yuri Formane in March 2010; then they could make the fight in late 2010. They also said Floyd would never fight Shane cuz he was scared of em.:rofl Goes to show how serious Team Pac is. Those guys are garbage.
