The three most dominant fighters in the sport today are Floyd, Ward and Klitschko. Three utterly boring fighters who use clinches to win fights. The sport needs to have a change of rules for its own betterment. A lot of the people who I were with today swore off from ever watching boxing again. These clinch machines are killing the sport that I love so much.

That style is what boxing rewards today. If you want some combat in your combat sport, there are many alternative options. Running around, hugging and pillow fights are the way boxing is done now. It's like the sport is becoming a teenage girl's sleepover.

This has been the case for a long time. To my mind, the goal is to stop your opponent, make them quit, or turn them into clinching machines. It pains me to see a fighter cruise to a decision by using these kinds of tactics. And people have the nutlings to call this **** masterful.

I agree, clinching should be penalized way more than it is today, especially when it's not a coming together but more of an offensive, initiated clinch. It takes away the chance for a shorter opponent to work on the inside.
