I agree that Pavlik can still make waves. Losing to a ultra prepared Hopkin's (Motivated by the Calzaghe loss) isn't particularly suprising or damaging.
Damn, this thread is going all over the place, I can't keep up. :nut As far as Pacquiao goes, whatever else you say about the guy, he has probably the best resume of any fighter in the last decade or so. DeLaHoya Barrera (twice) Morales (twice) Marquez Hatton ...and all in the span of relatively few years. The fact that a guy like Larios is considered a "tune up" for him compared to the rest of his opposition just goes to show how awesome the rest of his comp. is. If the fight with Mayweather happens and Pacquiao can somehow pull the "upset," that would be completely mind-boggling.
Pacquiao has tons of wins when he was still fighting in Thailand and the surrounding areas that would make for a very solid resume. A lot of those Thai guys are hard *******s, and can hit too.
I felt the same way. A bit hustled, to be honest. I bought it hook line and sinker that Hatton would be a slick counterpuncher with power to boot, but he tried his old smash n grab ways.
