Pac the politician will be the biggest excuse.

You will hear that Pac had to work all day and train at night and he wasnt the same fighter he used to be. Basically floyd didnt fight "the real" pac and that if they fought back in march Pac would have stopped him. Also that pac is smaller so even after he gets schooled by floyd it will be Pac is still p4p better or Pac would have KOed floyd at 140

dislike it all you want, but you can't disagree

hell, look at Khan...having to rebuild his career at 23 because of a KO

look at cotto...loses to concreto and puts up a bad show vs. joshua "heavy bag" clottey and gets turned into arum's *****

like a fighter or not, if they don't manage their career well now-a-days, you won't have a chance to see them, because they won't be fighting

Your right, if there were more guys with the persona of Floyd in the sport, I sure as hell wouldn't waste my time watching, reading or even thinking about it!

    Good point.:good

Khan lost his fight with Prescott because he was arrogant. A young DLH would be good to compare him with as he is being built like DLH. DLH knew not to bumrush a puncher. If he was kd he knew to take a knee and regain composure.

You are saying Cotto was made a ***** for losing to Margarito? What was he supposed to do? He was a world champion, just had beaten Mosley. Are you honestly suggesting Cotto would be a greater boxer had he ducked Margarito? I suppose DLH should have ducked Mosley, Tito should have ducked DLH, Mosley should have ducked Forrest and Wright. Hell, what would Tito, Mosley, and DLH's 0 in the loss category mean if they never took risks? It would mean nothing.

Floyd's Career in a nutshell "I've come out of retirement to face the best, but only if you take random blood tests"

    that's his legacy..

You're in the minority then. People love to watch boxers like Floyd. Check his PPV numbers.

He does seem to have an inferiority complex, as someone else has mentioned.

he continuously discredits legends like Leonard, Ali, and Pac at every opportunity through the media. tells me he is not confident he can ever reach their level that he has to try and enhance his legacy by trying to denegrate their accomplishments.

What he has over those guys is his zero, which he also likes to mention a lot. Not surprising he is so protective of it. If his cherry gets crushed by Pac it will be the end of any delusion he had about being the GOAT.

Him demanding random drug testing shows me he believes Pac is that bloody good and that much of a threat, that he must be on PEDs. i just think he sees it as too much risk and he has too much to lose that he would be happy not to take the fight.

And I'll bet you more than 50% are turning in with the hopes of seeing him crash & burn.

You don't even know what you're saying, ballsucker. Khan didn't have to "rebuild" his career. He went straight to the drawing board, got back on top with no time at all, and is still in the same place he would have otherwise been, on top of the world without being truly tested. I'm talking about exactly what you posted.

That still doesn't change the fact that they're still tuning in to watch his fight. Besides if he's "cherry picking" all the time how the **** are all those nobodies supposed to even stand a chance against him?

You being the thread starter proves otherwise.

How they lost is irrelevant, it's the aftermath of losing a fight with the reaction of the boxing media and fans that he's getting at.

People are always harping on about the good old days and how fighter were willing to fight all comers but followers of boxing were much more receptive to a loss than the followers of today. Like Timothy James said you only have to look to Khan having to 'rebuild his career' after one loss at the age of 23 to see how unforgiving the sport can be.

There's some difference. Pacquiao's caliber is different from Mosley. His father isn't afraid of Mosley, Pac yes. Pac isn't 38 year-old either.
Nonetheless, I certainly hope you are right that Floyd will eventually fight Manny. That's all I want to see whatever the outcome might be.
