again...random drug testing then and now is still a very good idea..regardless the motive...a person who runs from a random drug test however...has other issues. Not to mention there is a fighter who has succomb to the testing and plenty other fighters who have said they would also.
I don't buy all the talk of inferiority complex's but i do think he just buys too much into this materialistic lifestyle way too much, he's a perfectionist u can see that even in the way he bxes. He is despert to be looked at as the very very best which he truely believes he is. Maybe he has small man sydrome. But regardless about the fight I really don't think he is scared to fight paqcuiao I think that this is just one of his business tacics too hype the fight so much make the fans want it so much by making quesions in peoples heads will it happen yes or no. I Cotto, De La Hoya, Hatton and Clottey weren't afraid I don't see any reason Mayweather would be.
Who do you think is the more appropriate person to lobby for improving steroid testing for the "good of the sport"? The Nevada State Athletic Commission, who whilst still not the USADA standard for testing, can introduce a reform that affects the central point for title fights and big fights in boxing OR Bob Arum and the Pacquiao camp. I agree for mandatory improved standard practice for PED's, I do not agree that its place is on a negotiation table.
this is just what i dont understand....your playing both sides the fence....you agree testing is good...but u dont think the actual fighters hould be allowed to ask for it? what does it matter who lobbies for it....whats good for the sport is good for the sport...regardless of who asks for it regardless of motives....random drug testing with blood and urine is a very good idea especially for this calibre of fight. Ontop of tat there is no rule to say you cant ask for it so he is well within his right to do so as is Pac. If Bob Arum and Pac ask for it i'd hav the same stance because the shyt is a GOOD IDEA. I am also more incline to believe had it been Pac who asked for it...the story now flips and please...if Floyd carried on like Pac is about the testing the man would get FRIED!! Hell he is getting fried now for asking for a test that is legitimately a very good idea...people say yea the idea is good we just dont like that Mayweather has asked for it or wll Pac doesnt wasnt to do it so its not a good idea or not fair and actually defend a fighter for blantantly lying as to why he dont want to take the test....the shyt just baffles me.
Honestly...there is something puzzling about both fighters. Mayweather acts as if Pacquiao is nobody and can't even give him a fight. Then he contradicts himself by implying that Pacquiao is too good to not be using steroids. What changed Floyd's mind? Why didn't he think he was a big threat before, but now he thinks he is a big threat? Pacquiao keeps giving weird excuses for not wanting to take random blood testing. If his reasoning for not giving in has to do with mind games, then Pacquiao could have easily averted that by being enthusiastic about it and saying he wants to do something for the sport. His reaction has definitely cast a shadow in the public's eye now. Both boxers are puzzling
There's no debating a gut feeling. Roach pulled something out of his ass and Pac fans fell for it. The fact is Floyd got hit with exactly two meaningful shots in 12 rounds against a fighter that everyone up until after the fight said was one of the strongest and fastest Floyd had ever faced. Floyd shook off two bombs that would have stunned practically any other fighter and proceeded to walk down a man that is taller, very strong, with great speed and power in both hands. Pac fans have been clinging to the smallest of hopes ... essentially two punches and the words of a man who has been just as wrong as he has been right. Freddie is a great trainer but his prognostication skills need a lot of work. He thought that DLH and Mosley would win their fights with Mayweather ... he was wrong. The fact is Pac has every disadvantage in this fight. He's facing a bigger, stronger, faster opponent with impeccable defense who's best weapons are the ones Pac is MOST susceptible to. There's no debate. I've listed 11 points in another thread on why Mayweather had a distinct advantage over Pac and no one was able to refute even one. The best anyone can say is "workrate," "angles," "power (though Pac doesn't have KO power in either hand)," "heart, intangibles," yadda, yadda. Either Roach stuff or gut feeling stuff but no facts or real analysis. If Pac fans were so confident in their man, they wouldn't be co-signing for him ducking the blood tests. My guess is that they know Pac has no chance without PEDs. You really don't want to debate the merits of the matchup. If logic alone won fights, Pac would have already been KOed.
What the **** are you talking about? Who is debating the match-up? There are a number of things that are completely facetious in your post (such as "shook off two bombs that would have stunned practically any other fighter", "Roach picked Mosley to beat Mayweather", etc) but I'm not debating the match-up with anyone. Although that you seem so sure about this only reflects your ignorance. Find me a boxing expert who believes Pacquiao has no chance whatsoever. Because you sir, are not one.
Also BigReg don't think I haven't noticed you slinked off when you got called out for talking bull****
