If Ibrgimov can get inside consistantly and utilize great lateral movement he has a shot, but I think Wlad's gonna get a mid-late round KO

 

If Iggy gets inside, Wlad uses his short hooks. Check out what happened to Monte Barret when he got inside of Wlad. Monte got bounced six times for getting inside.

I doubt it. I'll admit I'm a big Wlad fan, but its going to be tough for Iggy. Hopefully Wlad has learned that when you throw punches against a fast, counter punching south paw...you have to keep moving left to avoid their left counter. I think Its going to be hard for Ibragimov to get by Wlads Jab. Wlad has far better stamina, speed and footwork than Briggs or Holyfield. Iggy wont be able to dart in and out untouched. Then again, Iggy has a punchers chance...a slim one, but its possible.

 

I don't think Sultan has enough pop in his punch to make Wlad respect him and I believe this will be a rerun of Byrd vs Wlad, with Sultan maybe doing a bit better avoiding being hit and making the fight look ugly. Eventually, Wlads jab will find the mark and the punches will take their toll. Whats worse is that it doesn't appear Sultan has an iron chin like Toney to survive 12 rounds with Wlad even if he did get caught with punches throughout the fight. This is a physical mismatch...

I agree to an extent. (don't necessarily know if its just so people can say they predicted the upset (i'm sure a lot do though)). But it's also quite normal if you have money or emotions invested in a fight to start second guessing big time as the date draws near.


My mind says Wlad will win easily. IMO, Ibragimov will be fighting just like he did against Briggs, but Wlad won't be taking off 2:45 of every round.

 

I think he stands a pretty good chance. With Wlad, it only takes one good punch to rock the boat.

Sorry Iggy fans this is a Physical mismatch, Wlad is gonna win this:yep if Iggy is still on his feet at the end of round 12 it will be a Moral victory, and his stock won't drop, simply because everybody expects him to get KO'D..

 

Every single Wlad fight some really smart person "smells an upset" or "has a gut feeling" that Wlad is getting knocked out or losing and it just doesn't happen with anyone without power.

The way to beat Wlad will be to overwhelm him but that is difficult because has become a good boxer with good footwork and one hell of an offensive arsenal with knockout power in both hands. The next way will be to fight an a rate he cannot sustain. Ibrag has to try plan B...But he has to put enough leather an Wlad and make him tire while at the same time not getting knockout out. That is a difficult task and I do not think Ibrag is the man to do so. It's possible but not probable...

Sultan is a southpaw with quick handspeed! He is a quick HW. Vlad had trouble seeing the straight left hand coming from Corrie Sanders. Sultan's best chance is to catch Vlad with that punch, which is perhaps Sultan's best punch.

 

Iggy will be many times down in this fight and will be lucky to stop Wlad in 5th round by brutal overhand right left hook right hand combo!

Then Iggy will win rematch my UD! Flooring Wlad in 12th!
